Default 21 in an Hour, What Beer to Buy?
About to be alcohol legal in less than an hour in the State of California. Can't decide on a celebration brew for myself, so I'm looking for suggestions on what to look for.

Shoot! Cheers!

When I turned 21 I wasn't even thinking bout beer. Get yourself a nice drink, sumthin' wit crown royal in it, like a crown and coke, or 7UP. But if beers a must get like a Sam Adams

I've been drinking too much hard stuff lately, and I've still got some downstairs.

Yeah, it's pretty legal to consume, but for me to buy by myself... would be a breath of fresh air.

Have a pick

I'm glad they are less strict here, but for some it is good they have restrictions in all sort of ways.
I don't know if the "problem" is solved by not letting you buy, but you can drink beer. You just let a friend buy beer for you, so they don't solve a problem, they move it.

Ah well, happy birthday and get whatever you like.

Although you've made a very nice list there, I doubt it'll be of any use to him since it's in Dutch

Guinness is my personal favourite aswell, but you'll have to get used to the taste (it took me 5 pints )

If you want more than beer (sorry didn't read your first post). The other night I tried this and never though too, or heard anyone else try it although I'm sure someone has. I had a little bit of Captain Morgan left and about half a bottle of Mountain Dew left. So I mixed half and half, it was good as ****!

Don't ever buy beer!! Make your own!! Homebrew is the best.

Buy a kit 150.00USD for an okay one

Use this recipe (If you like dark, dark beer)

6lbs dark malt extract
2lbs wheat extract
1oz spaaz hops for bittering
1oz mt hood hops for flavor/scent
1lb barley/chocolate barley crystals...mixed

ale yeast and 5.5 gallons water

bring 2.5 to 3 gals to boil with barley crystals in a bag, reduce heat, let soak like a tea bag for about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove crystals and add spaaz hops, malt & wheat extract; boil lightly for 45 minutes. Add mt hood hops for the last 5 to 10 minutes. Let cool, add to the rest of the water, pitch the yeast. After first stage ferment is complete, move to second fermenter and wait for about 3 weeks to bottle.

Will give you a little over 2 cases within 30 days!!! LOL
