hey all, i need to move my 50" plasma across town to my new flat and i'm led to believe you have to keep them vertical at all times. I'm concerned that the rocking on it's stand may cause damage if i put it in my van, so does anyone have a good suggestion? i dont have the original packaging anymore...
any idea how much a delivery company will charge to move it? or perhaps a speficied company who deals with this sorta thing, ta. |

stick it in the back of the van either boxed up (if you still have the box) or wrapped up in blankets if you don't.
Have a mate sit in the back of the van with it for the journey, holding onto it to stop it from rocking about (or sit in the back yourself and have a mate drive). Either way, drive slow and avoid speed-bumps ![]() |

hire some people to move your stuff for you and pay that extra bit so that if they break anything, they have to pay for it My friend had Best Buy install his 60" Sony SXRD TV (he has a car, wouldn't fit) and they scrapped the thing across the brick getting into his place and he was screwed with the 6 weeks it took them to replace it. |

Like the others have said, really wrap it up - protect the screen say with cardboard. Hell, use the seatbelts if you can (I do this ALOT) to secure it down. |
