i almost ran him over. he was laying on his back, thought he was dead but then he started moving. what do they eat?

Some can be, but tradional toads here in the UK aren't poisonous.

Toads eat insects, grubs, slugs, worms, and other invertebrates like other amphibians do.

i released him back into the wild now though. we have a stream in the garden so i put him near there a few hours ago. i've been back to check and hes gone, so either moved or been eaten [thumbup]
