Solve this!
So apparently this is given to kids who are about to enter PRIMARY school in Russia.
8809 = 6 7111 = 0 2172 = 0 6666 = 4 1111 = 0 3213 = 0 7662 = 2 9312 = 1 0000 = 4 2222 = 0 3333 = 0 5555 = 0 8193 = 3 8096 = 5 7777 = 0 9999 = 4 7756 = 1 6855 = 3 9881 = 5 5531 = 0 2581 = ? |

The only thing given to russian school kids these days seems to be glue, a plastic bag and some methyl alcohol. |

I guess 2581 = 2, but I'm still hungover from last night...

A. I work with enough russians and i know their work morals (85% of the people that work with me) B. There are enough of them around here that do absolutly **** other than get wasted and group up and spit day and night while leaching on the social system. C. I know enough of them. (which is enough) Maybe things are different in the states, but here in Germany, the Russians are a ****ing problem. So how about chilling the **** out and not acting as if you knew **** ? |

They might give that question to enter special schools called "gimnazia" which have a higher learning standards than regular schools. These schools are not that uncommon and I attended one when I was growing up in Russia. Children get taught math and reading in kindergarten or by their parents. I was taught by my mother to read and do simple math by the time I was 3 years old which is, again, not that uncommon.
GolemFrost, you might have had bad experiences with Russians, I don't like most of them either, but please don't generalize about a whole nationality of people. |

Some people just don't know how they are good in science, and like to spit on them just becouse they meet uneducated, like to be drunk Russians. BTW Russians have history, tradition, arts and culture better than most of the countries. |
well it is quite easy the answer is 2 as stated. My question is why no ,number 4
|
@ DK
Sry for my harsch comment,.. If you have access to SYB you might have seen my thread about what happend today (My Lady crashed my car) and i´m still rather pissed. But still i don´t like russians. I think there´s this incompatibility between me and them that just makes a get-along impossible. |
Anywayyyyyyy back onto the subject. Yes the answer is 2... But none of you said WHY its 2 :)

The answer is 2 by the following logic
Numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 count for 0 each Numbers 0, 4, 6, 9 count for 1 each Finally 8 counts for 2 each time it is encountered: Proof: 8809 = 6 because: 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 6 7111 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 2172 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 6666 = 4 because: 1 + 1 +1 + 1 = 4 1111 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 3213 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 7662 = 2 because: 0 + 1 + 1 + 0 = 2 9312 = 1 because: 1 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 1 0000 = 4 because: 1 + 1 + 1 +1 = 4 2222 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 3333 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 5555 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 8193 = 3 because: 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 3 8096 = 5 because: 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5 7777 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 9999 = 4 because: 1 + 1 +1 + 1 = 4 7756 = 1 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 1 6855 = 3 because: 1 + 2 + 0 + 0 = 3 9881 = 5 because: 1 + 2 + 2 + 0 = 5 5531 = 0 because: 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 0 Finally: 2581 = ? because: 0 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 2 There you go |

Its actually counting the "holes" in the numbers. Like 0 is one big hole so its 1. 8 is 2 holes... ETC
