Default Thoughts on the SE w880i?
I'm seriously looking at this phone as a replacement for my SLVR L7, - I was wondering if anyone had some opinions etc on this phone?

awesome little phone, however the earphone socket is in a wierd place. Good quality camera and its nice light and compact and its feature rich considering its size

thaught you would have been a more kind of k800i or n95 kind of person with your love for cameras?

I went from k800i to w880i and its fine. Nicer looking menu's. No-where near as good camera though.

Also it seems to have a habit of unlocking itself in my pocket. Although i think thats just me.

My flat mate has the same issue. Personally I can't stand the tiny buttons. Espically arround the joystick (direction pad) and the back / start end call buttons.

The 0-9 keys arn't too bad as they're spaced out, but for the other stuf IMO it's too close together.

Sexeh phone, but I'd never buy it.

All I know is that I bought a SE w810i and I love it...probably not the same but I prefer the way Sony build their phones over the other companies...

same here.
You might as well get one of their earlier versions.
K800 is nice too, but it's bigger.

The camera capability of a phone is actually not interesting to me at all.

What I'm looking for is a combination of form-factor, together with features - most interestingly music playback, so I don't have to take my ipod with me when I travel on the train for business. I like the idea of one device in my pocket that can be my phone and play music also.

Is the w880i not "better" than those? (especially in respect to form factor - which is important as the thing will be in my pocket when visiting clients, and I don't want it to look like I'm busy pitching a tent).

It's newer, yes. Though if you're not really interested in features/design the w880 offers, you might as well get the earlier phones as they are great too (haven't use a w850 though).
Also, i dont find my k750 too thick or whatever
