I've been sent a few "bogus" emails desigued from ebay. Here is a screen shot.
As you see it looks like the real thing, but when you click on the link to take you to the aution it gives me this! Looks genuine? Look carfully at the url. To the normal ebay user, they would have entered their username and password. And hoax link will capture that username and password onto a seperate database for the created to mess around! Though I'm not even sure I'm even right...I could be wrong. Oopps! |

I remember getting a similar email many years ago. I thought it was real so clicked on the link, but thankfully my net connection decided to go down at that moment, so I was unable to enter in my details.
Every time I get emails like that now, I always make sure to type in the address and then enter the details. |

If th emessages aint showing in your My eBay section then it most likely is a fraud.
foreward it to spoof@ebay.com ad be done with it! I never click on links from eBay, i just log into eBay and read/send messages from there. |

A portnumber is NEVER listed with a legit site (in the link it's :82) since it uses port 80 |
