Default Mother F***ing god damn (car)theives
I swear to god, if i ever catch the low lives who broke into my truck this morning, i will... do things i won't mention here. They broke my driver's side door lock, and then proceeded to rampage through the truck. It looks like they had planned to steal it, but it looks like somebody spooked em - i think they left in a hurry.

I just needed to vert, because this really just pissed me off. If you want, feel free to relate or what not. In the mean time, i gotta go fix my truck with money i don't have...

Damn, sorry to hear (read), I know this really isn't any help, but at least all that got damaged was a possession of yours, it could always be worse

I hope whoever broke into your truck gets aids.

I agree - i can always replace material goods (even it if takes a while. ; not to mention, i have better ways of protecting the loved ones.

But still, I almost feel - violated by their actions. Silly, i know, but still there.

It happened to us back in July so I know how you feel. They did around $1500 damage to the exploder.

Don't you have insurance to cover the damages?

I'm checking on that now; not sure how much will be covered since the vehicle wasn't stolen. We will see i guess.

Mine paid 100% and also paid for a rental for 2 weeks because we couldnt drive it with the rear hatch broken out. All you need is the police report.

It also wont mess with your rates because its under comp.

That sucks, was anything stolen or was it just damage?

I remember one time, someone broke into my parents car, ripped through the door lock, and then proceeded to HACK SAW the god damn steering wheel off the steering column

Purposely broke into the car to cause major damage, for absolutely no reason!

You don't have insurance for this sort of thing? Homeowners if it happened at your house, renters if it happened at your apartment, auto if it happened anywhere else. Unless your deductible is like $500, but then again it might cost you more than that to get the door fixed I'm not sure.

Where do you live again ? (New Mexico afaik, right ?)
You might wanna think about moving somewhere else if these things are kinda common in your area.

My cars have been broken in to more times than everyone else here put together.

You become numb to it eventually as it starts to become part of your weekly routine.

The trick to avoid repeted break-ins is to strap the dead thief to the hood of the car after you're done with him as a warning. Any thief will do.

next time stand guard with a shot outside your bedroom window. As soon as they touch your car, let rip.

What sorta truck they trying to steal?
I am just waiting to have my truck stolen. The same day that it was given to me, I saw a thing on TV with the local cops. They were showing to the public to protect your vehicals and then showed how easy it was to steal a vehical. They just happened to use the same model as mine and took it to peices in 15 minutes with just basic tools.

What you should do is get one of those GPS tracking device type things installed on your car and never worry if it is stolen. Right when you find out that it is stolen, get online and find out where the thing is. Then call the cops, get a ride with them and get out of the cop car laughing in their faces. Then go over to the vehicle and make sweet love to it in their faces!!!

if I ever caught someone breaking into my car/house I'd shoot first and ask questions later.

We are moving actually - still in NM, still in ABQ even, but a different neighborhood; so we are hoping things will be better out there.
