 Why do we go through all this?
As a guy it is so lame, we have to do all this work to pick up girls...
buy them drinks at the bar take them out to places pay for this pay for that... and for what? So that in the end they just take the crap and say "Let's just be friends" It's dumb... I mean... I find myself searching all over town for tickets to this sold out concert just so I can take this girl I am interested in to it..... and for what? The moderate chance that it will actually go somewhere? [surrender] .... exactly... that is it... that slim chance makes it all worth it.... IT IS SO DUMB!! WE (guys) ARE SO DUMB![cursing] |

Yep.
Hell the girl I'm seeing just said we should break up. You know why! because she says that we are both so busy we rarely get ot see each other, and because of that we might both stress out and break each others hearts. WTF? [shocked] We both like each other, we both have fun together, why the hell a pre-emptive break up? If she says she doesn't like me THAT would make sense, but she's doomed our relationship on what she thinks could happen in the future  Oh well, if she doesn't realise that the future is always uncertain, then why should I bother. |

That's why you get them drunk, don't ever let 'em stop at just buzzed.
 "Woman, I PAYED for that, now you drink it!" Besides that, you should also not put so much effort into a first date when you don't know what kind of relationship she wants with you. |

Grand gestures are for married or nearly-married couples only. Gifts extend down to the girlfriend and no further. You should never buy or gift anything for the purpose of impressing a woman you're interested in. It's almost always going to be money down the drain, which is fine if you're rich and/or only interested in attracting a "certain" type of woman. In the rare case that gifts go down well with a woman who is not your girlfriend, the gifts weren't necessary in the first place -- she's overlooking your stupidity in giving them because she's interested in you for other, legitimate reasons.

The reason your falling into this "friends category" is because your being the "nice guy." Who said you have to buy them drinks, take them out to dinner etc? There's no wrriten rule, and it's basically lowering yourself. Its proving to the girl that you are not worth her time because you are trying to convince her that your the right guy for her...Try to make her convince YOU that shes the right girl for you.. She has to chase you or you'll just keep failing miserably or end up with some fat ugly chick
 Dont you ever realize that the girls you arent really into are the girls that are obssessed with you? Thats because your not giving them the time of day and thats what they love. People want what they cant have.
