Dude, lighten up. I was joking with you.
Once you know someone else isn't prone to "joking" with you, and you continue to do it, it's at the very least rude.

Dude, be serious sometime.

Zoolook used to be a much different person than he is now, or at least he used to present himself in a different manner.
I've spent 7 years in NYC... that can turn anyone, gimme a break.

Twonha,

Do you ever get sick while huffing the scent of your own ****?
I always thought I said "I" a lot. I don't think I can really help myself.

Still alive and kicking
Thanks to those with concerned thoughts and for the others, well, such opinions are generally returned, which is also cool.

I was getting a bit grumpy with some people that didn't really warrant it and was thinking of taking a time out.
An A-V or browser update dropped the auto-login on all forums, so I took that as a sign to do some other stuff.

Still looked in on occasion but resisting the impuse to comment seemed to free up a lot of time for other things, like reading, appreciating the spring weather, getting some jobs done around the house and garden, etc.

Sparrow, rather surprised that you weren't a golfer, BTW, seemed the sort of thing you'd be interested in - hanging around with wealthy, smug, bigotted men in exclusive clubs while discussing how rich they are and the shortcomings of the 'common' people. Nothing against the ordinary folk who do it for a bit of relaxation or exercise, naturally.

I am a member of the New York Athletic Club, and as it so happens, my grandfather was the co-owner of a country club in my hometown, so I am a lifetime member there. I just happen to feel golf is an incredibly stupid activity for grown men to engage in.

Been to the New York Athletic Club years ago. One of my old "work buddies" is (was?) member there. Maybe we have a common friend!

I found golf an
incredibly stupid activity for grown men to engage in
and thought it was an elitist pastime full of stuck-up arses... until I was kicked by my wife to try it myself. I bought a beginner set for £199 a pair of shoes and started. I changed my mind. Golf is a highly challenging activity and takes enormous commitment to master. I've learned to respect it for what it is. Over here in England it is a very popular sport as well. You don't need to be a billionaire to play it.
