Yes and no - it was more like "these things work better on iPhone, make ours work similarily or better", just standard business practice everyone including Apple does - research the competition products, and if something is done better, do the same thing your way, and better if possible.
Even with the UI, jury in the US case dismissed any prior art because it would have slowed down their process, as well as ignored the rules (like the punishment is supposed to be just for the damages, while the jury specificly said that they wanted it to be a clear punishment, a sharp slap on the wrist, but not too hard) |
