Find the song that was the #1 hit the week you were born. Post the video of that song.
My date of birth precedes the actual Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, which was started in 1958. And the top single in the country the week of my birth wasn't even a song; it was a comedic satire of the show Dragnet by Stan Freberg, titled "St. George and the Dragonet." Video? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

In 1951, the first video tape recorder (VTR) captured live images from television cameras by converting the information into electrical impulses and saving the information onto magnetic tape. Ampex sold the first VTR for $50,000 in 1956.

Charles Ginsburg led the research team at Ampex Corporation in developing the first practical videotape recorder (VTR). So you couldn't even buy a videotape recorder when I was born.

(this thread also exists to make people feel old http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/tongue.gif) I'm immune to that, but still, well done.

Bob Dylan's **** voice is so recognizable.

I have looked through the number 1 ranking of the past years, they suck, when was the last time a rock band had a number 1 hit in the USA? And it must have been a horrible band like Creed o perhaps Limp Bizkit a decade ago
That's cause rock blows chunks.

And the answer appears to be June 28, 2008: "Viva la Vida" Coldplay

Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto (2011) isn't bad.

To be sincere, this game would be more interesting if it were number 1 album instead of song
