Default Making the Little Mermaid More "Real." A Serial Carpens Production.
EDIT: Mods, move this to the art forum if it doesn't belong here (I totally forgot about it until just now).

Random art project of the week:
My wife loves The Little Mermaid, so I decided to take a frame from the film and "enhance" it in Photoshop. Here is the final result:

I might do a series of these using frames from other movies, but it depends on my motivation level.

Thanks

I work in an art related field, yes. But I don't get paid to redo old animation cells or anything of that nature.

Honestly, I lurk the forums an average of once per day, but just haven't felt like posting much lately.

I couldn't decide what to do with Flounder. I was going to give him a big, ridiculous smiling mouth, but I thought it looked too over the top. Maybe I will make a revision sometime...

It may be his fins, or lack of. However, Ariel looks awesome!

I can relate on lurking, not much to reply to lately.

I found a photo of an ugly red wig on Google image search and cut it up and used parts of it for the base texture—then I stretched the hell out of it with the liquify tool, airbrushed, erased, and color enhanced...voila!

BS! Running a business is a major talent, and one I wish I possessed.
