Default Douchebag parking :(
Great - so I go out to my car just now to find the person infront of me has left me about 20cm of space, and the person behind about 5cm. I parked before both of them. I had to get my car out as I had an errand to run, and I have no idea who the other two cars below to.

After a frustrating 10mins of performing an Austin Powers-esque 25 million point turn, I got my car out, - but unfortunately not before I'd given the car behind me a slight nudge. Naturally there does not appear to be any damage to their car, but mine now has a nice horizontal black line just under the rear number-plate. Not broken the paint, but I have a white car, so it shows. Then again, mine is a company car and nothing special (Polo Bluemotion), and the damage is slight and just cosmetic. Kind of scenario when parking sensors would have been rather handy...

Just annoying when people park like total douches.

Read similar on another forum recently. One of the parked cars had a dog inside and the window slightly open. Was enough to get a hand in however, opening the door, taking the handbrake off and rolling it out of the way

Any off the shelf car polish should remove the black marks.

If they were parked that close, they probably would have been beeping like mad regardless.

Not really relevant, but some newer models measure down to the millimetre and have a display on the screen.

I've only done this once, but I've tied rope through the front wheel of a car, then through the door handle, and then through the rear wheel. They would have to cut it to get in the car, or try to move the vehicle, just to waste their time. I was parked in for nearly a half hour once, this was in a parking lot with back to back spaces, and some assholes decided to start parking behind cars for this event. Finally the car in front of me (properly parked) moved, then I could get out.

Yeah, it did. Next time I'll be sure to take a photo of myself standing in front of a mirror with rope in my hand.

I've got a similar story that happened to a friend. She was parked with cars tight front and rear. She touched the one behind while manouvering out. She got out and checked and there were no marks, so she drove off. When she was back home the police arrived at her door. Some "do-gooder" had taken her registration and reported her. The police charged her with leaving the scene of an accident. She was planning on moving to Canada for a new job but this ruined her VESA application as she now had a criminal record. The completely stupid thing is the owner of the car behind was completely oblivious to the whole thing and never reported anything (because there was no visible damage!)

I had a similar problem in DC when i was 21, I had a shitty ass civic and there is 0 parking in DC.... I somehow managed to find this parallel parking spot. After leaving the bar around 1am I notice I'm sandwiched between two cars with only 1-2in of space between each one... My car was a pos and I did not feel like dealing with it... So i kept tapping each car, as long as my bumper didnt crack I didnt care about any scuffs. It is my belief that people who park and not give the space to the person infront/behind/side of them then they deserve whatever happens to their car. I always make sure I park straight, give plenty of room to people, and so on... Many times i've gone to the mall... Come back and my drunk is dented in because of some idiot in an SUV doesn't know how to pull in/out of a parking spot. I always park as far and away from people as possible now.

Print out some of these and leave them on the windscreens of the offending cars.

The people in my apartment complex must never have had a license before, because they can't park for crap either.

The parking stalls in my complex are too narrow, and because of this and those who fail at parking between actual lines there is sometimes no way for me to even get into my car at all as I can't swing the door open far enough. They complex put way too many parking stalls in. They are also horrible at maintaining parking passes for the numbers of cars actually allowed.

The last time they screwed up and parked on the yellow line I actually called the tow company had had them towed for double parking. I have had words with them before, so this was beyond the "3rd strike your out rule".

I now have simply removed my cars from the equation, I park them in two spots in the guest area. This has also had the side benefit of stopping all door dings I was getting from my neighbors who can't drive at all. All of the door dings on my car are due to my actual neighbors and not from out and about.

Thats funny. After all these years of parking, and living where I do, I have not and no one has pulled a "F*ck you" parking move. Though I have had someone back out of their spot and hit my truck parked on the other side of the parking aisle. Either blind or had a long a$$ car, lol. Nice enough to leave a note though.

Though this isn't nearly as bad as two people on the interstate tried to kill me just last week. And just me minding my business cruzing down the road just like everybody else. People gone mad!

Try parking in New York City. I bought a new car last July, and it already had a number of 'slight nudge' dents in it. Just think of it as another tax.
