Default High or Low Blood Pressure Leads to Headaches in Many People
Most doctors readily diagnose hypertension (high blood pressure) by the measurements that the nurse or doctor takes with a blood pressure cuff. However, maybe you haven't seen the doctor for a long time or hypertension is a new problem for you. One symptom of hypertension is severe headaches. If your headaches stem from hypertension, stabilizing your blood pressure should decrease the frequency and intensity of your headaches. Of course, it's also important to treat hypertension for many other reasons. Untreated hypertension can lead to a stroke or heart attack.

It's also true that unusually low blood pressure {hypotension) can cause headaches. Hypotension is sometimes induced by medications, although there are many other causes. Your physician can help you determine the cause and the solution.

Headache should not be treated lightly as most of the severe brain problems are started by headache only. You should consult a doctor to get a CAT scan done so that the problem can be diagnosed in early stage. Tumour or brain cancer can also be a reason of headache
