Default Pebble Beach Tee time?
I am traveling to San Francisco later this week and I can't not play Pebble if it is possible. I will be by myself and can play Thirs or fri. I can't find anywhere that has advanced booking outside of staying at the lodge (I already have a free place to stay), and I can't make a tee time (according to my online research) more than 24 hours out if I am not staying at the hotel. Anyone have any experience with this? Can I book a tee time for one? If I try and walk on will I be able to get on? Is there any way to get discounted rates? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was at Pebble Beach pro shop when a guy came in and asked if he could play the next day. The guy behind the desk told him to just show up and hope for a cancellation.

Discount rates? Don't count on it.

What I would do is call the pro shop myself and get the whole process straight from them though. Things might have changed since 2008.

Monterey is quite a drive from San Francisco (over two hours).

Definitely not the quickest trip! Good luck and I hope you get to play, also check out Harding Park if you can.

Can't say much about PB, but have been in Monterey for the last week...and drove from Sf...it is two hrs. Played the Bayonet, Black Horse courses this weekend and they were great. I heard golf digest has the Bayonet as the 17th most difficult course in the US...After today I would agree. All the locals are touting the poor mans PB, Pacific Grove links course. Also watch the weather, lots of rain predicted for late next week. Good luck with PB

I am thinking of doing the same thing in September. How many days out was the tee time from when you called - day before play, two days, etc? Thanks

Funny thing is that some tour players say it is not in the best shape when they play there because of the time of year
