My game has steadily been getting better and better and my index is at a 3.1 and I'm starting to play some of my best golf ever. Now being that said, I still have my blow up rounds and not consistently shooting low scores as much as I would like. I do feel like I'm going down the right path though.
Here is my dilema - I can't play in the city amatuer as I can't get work off for that day. The Iowa Open is a much bigger event and I think it would be neat, but at the same time I don't like the fact that I don't think I would compete. When I say that, I mean be in contention. The winners are always -10 below and I have yet to put together a round at my home course under par (granted its 73.8/141), but I'm just at a loss to what to do. It would be great experience since I rarely play competive golf, but its also like why even go for it if I don't have a chance? Anyone else get in this mindset and what do you do? The main goal would be to make the cut which I think is doable. |
