THP Radio - The Golf Swing
ITR is back with their weekly show and it is filled with great information. THP welcomes GolfTEC to the show to discuss the science of the golf swing and how to fix certain flaws.
On this episode: How to fix that slice. How important is weight shift? What does it mean to swing with your arms? That popular swing that everybody is talking about “stacking” weight and does it really work? And so much more As always you can listen to it streaming right here as well as download it from here. THP Radio shows are also available at ITunes. http://thehackersparadise.com/home/?p=13326 |
What a timely radio show!! Someone must have seen my swing lately....
There are some great, simple thoughts that were shared that can assist with the common slice. I also enjoyed hearing about the "Stack & Tilt" method and why it may/may not work for everyone. Thanks to Steve from GolfTec for coming on and to THP for another great show! |
Great show! I really enjoyed it and will try some of the short game tips out next time I am at the range. I really enjoyed that show.

I am going to have to put off listening until this evening, I must travel to Alabama to attend the funeral of one of my good friends sister. Weight shift and swinging with the arms are especially interesting to me.

Absolutely awesome show!!!

Wow. That show was just packed with information. Great job.
Good comments and info on improving the short game. I have often overlooked putting as being part of the short game. I do agree that learning how to swing and hit the ball well is the first thing that is most important to become a good golfer. The short game is how you score low. I'm quickly finding that out. |
That was a very good show. What a perfect show as the season gets into full swing too. I think I need to stash that one away and go back and listen to it a few times. Lots of good info. Im already a fan of having golftec back on in the future and taking questions from the forum.

Loved the Show it was like Steve was talking about me. So much information. I have to listen a few more times, so I can take some written notes. I know I had to miss something important, because of all that great information. This shows tips and Tempo Teacher, off to practice I go..........

I loved this show. Anytime you can work the word broached into a show, it's a good show!
I think it's very easy to lose your audience in a show like this and I think it was handled really well. Thoroughly enjoyed this show and even replayed some items to make sure I caught everything! Great tips on ways to use your practice time. I'd love to have Steve as my coach. I can't stand to listen to some teachers, Steve had my attention and was easy to listen to. I'd love for you to bring him back for forum member questions! |
this should be a great show for sooo many of us. im about to listen over some coffee

I just listened to the show, really informative stuff in there. I liked the part about practice at the end, I'm guilty of just raking balls at the range and not always practicing with a purpose, I need to change that.

I just listened to the show, and was really impressed with some of the things that were said. Some of the things mentioned early on about the swing in general, are things I am currently working on already, so it is good to know I am heading in the right direction. I thought it was very interesting when he spoke about the effort in the swing, and that people are generally most successful with an effort of 3 on the backswing, and 4 coming forward. I thought it was interesting the way he described the 2 forms of practice, and I especially loved it when he basically said fat guys like me need to have a weight shift in their swing.

Excellent show, I have made a conscience effort to work more on the short game and time is always one of my biggest issues so this show will prove very handy for me. I loved the range tips too, working on the game instead of aimlessly just hitting balls is huge!
|
good show - i think the parts about hitting it to the right via swingpath or trying to hit the inside quarter were spot on.. As well as practicing with a purpose.. heard that so many times.
|
Great show, I think it should do wonders for getting people something to work on in the early season. Steve said most people don't find the short game fun to practice, I think it's awesome to practice! I love going to the range and hitting an entire bucket worth of 40-80 yard pitch shot at various targets I pick out.

Excellent show. I'm going to try some of these suggestions at the range. I'm also going to have to listen to the show again, and take notes. So much information!

I just listened to the show, and I loved it. I commented on the home page (as I understand that is important now), but I'll reiterate here:
I loved the hard numbers being mentioned about shoulder turn, etc. Definitely puts things in perspective. I also liked the part about swinging back at about 3/10 max speed, and through at 4/10 max speed. I tell myself this every time I play or practice and basically just blow that away immediately. Then I make that one 4/10 speed swing and my mind is blown. Lots of good stuff there, I'm looking forward to the next show with GolfTEC. |
