I have sent in an email to Glenmuir and hope some fellow THP'ers do the same. All I want to know is why? Where did the design come from?

Im really looking forward to the response.

Its for the 2011 line which makes it even more interesting beting that Sligo's has been out for a while.

I hope it turns out that they had a shirt exactly like this from 1976 and just brought it back, otherwise this one is pretty blatant.

Thats some crap. I dont understand why companies try to copy other companies products then try to sale it, makes no sense. Other they cant think of anything good themselves.

I hate to play devil's advocate, but at some point you're going to get things that look fairly similar. For example, who created the polo style shirt (I don't know the answer)? Every company uses it, but under this logic, there should only be one company with the polo style. Obviously this is a copy, but was the design copyrighted?

I find it a lot more dissappointing when you have functional designs that get copied without permission or being paid for (like the anser putter) than aesthetic designs.

As I have said in the putter thread, I dont have an issue with certain things being copied, but this one is just so blatant. ONE year after release of the Sligo shirt, a company comes out with the exact same shirt, same color, same design, etc...
