Jack is going to piss on Logan in finale but thats really an understatement in what he will actually do.

I don't feel like editting my post so..

I was shock. I thought Bauer was going to end up killing Logan then spending the next 18 months in jail for it. But I forgot about that chinese issue wasn't solve b/c I thought the chinese issue was going to be this season but they didn't so I guess they dropped that but apparently not. Bauer will end up being tortured by the chinese for 18 months and then it will be bauer and US vs chinese for day 6, oh joy

Well after thinkin about the season as a whole, i can think of 2 words to describe it...Anti-Climatic in its finest form. I will admit the first episode of season 5 was the FIRST time i ever watched 24, so i guess i was spoiled to see the assisanation of one of the best characters of the show, and a car bomb killin Michelle, and eventually Tony, and a very intense hostage situation in an airport, so after the first night i was riding high on what could've been a great season (since the first episode i have watched every episode on dvd, so i am completely caught up now)...Sadly once the threat of nerve gas was eliviated for the most part, the story started gettin stale as it was just Bauer vs Logan. The last 1/4 or so of the show was practically a rehash of the cyprus recording from season 2, and that was what eventually dragged season 2 down, as well as this season.

As most of you know i have been bitchin for the last few weeks about the direction this season was taking, and i had HIGH hopes that tonights finale would bring me back to the first few episodes. I was hoping that at least someone would die, but it just ended with jack being taken back to China. If you look at the closing moments of every season...Season 1, Terry dies in the final moments...Season 2 Palmar has his life in jeopardy after that biological attack, season 3 the virus wasnt stopped until the last second, and last season jack faked his own death...no such climax existed in this season, and with the weak story and the weak ending this has been a semi-disappointing season for me, and i will have to rank it last out of the 5 seasons thus far. What started out as a fast paced, action packed season, lost its way after the gas was destroyed, and with the many boring episodes down the stretch i will give this season a **.5/**** final grade, and hopefully season 6 will offer us something better than this season was able to do.


EDIT: I will admit this season did have its share of moments though, i mean watchin edger die the way he did totally broke me heart, and was one of the most gut wrenching moments i have seen on the show. Also the hostage situation at the airport was pretty friggin sweet too. Im sure there's others, i just cant think of them at the moment.

I believe the nerve gas is when the season went down hill as well. I mean, the first couple of episodes were some of the best no doubt. I even found some of the Logan one's pretty good, but it should've played out with Logan actually still being in office. That would've made things more interesting. Jack should've been transported to some prison, only to be kidnapped by the Chinese.

Season 5 was really good, the finale was better than I expected and I'm glad they solved that submarine storyline quikcly because I didn't like it that much.

Season 5 was a massive improvement over Season 4

I really like Season 5. I thought it was really good compare to past seasons. Just gotta wonder how season 6 will be, gotta wait 6 months for that.

I think you're being a little too harsh on the season Quinn. I thought the Bauer vs. Logan issue was refreshing, because it's really the first time Bauer hasn't had the support of the president. It was also a carry over from last season, because Logan authorized Bauer's death.

The finale did a great job wrapping everything up. Also, this is the first time they have seemingly set something up for next season. Although, when they tried that in season 2, they just used that concept in the video game.

but the videogame was released what 3 years after season 2 ended.

They did wrap it up pretty good even tho I don't think we saw the last of Logan.

yeah i guess i can kinda see where you're coming from with the whole "no support of the president" idea...For some reason i just didnt care for the way it all worked out...I mean on paper it sounds like a great idea, but i feel they just didnt execute it properly. The set up with the chinese for season 6 is definitely something different, and i am lookin forward to seein how he manages to escape from their captivity. I still rate this season as the worst out of the five, but its still definitely better than just about anything else on TV.

I didnt care much for season 3. Especially since Nina got killed. I am disapointed in the way Robo-henderson died this year as well but I liked how they all made it look like the china story line was done and they brought it back.
