Prison Break ![]() Anyway, under-rated... I'll stick with current TV shows to avoid going on too long. Supernatural- I had no expectations for this show, but by the end of the season, it turned out to be by far the best new show this year. Under-rated since it was questionable that it would come back. Conviction- I usually hate lawyer shows, but I really liked this one. Figures the first one I enjoy gets canned after only 13 episodes while most of the boring lawyer shows go on for like 800 seasons. Veronica Mars- I feel like a broken record now, but the writing in this show is just excellent. It's smart, witty, and funny. Don't let the weird name and bad advertising fool you, this is also one of the darkest shows on TV. Hell, the first episode alone saw the main character getting raped, abadoned by her drunk mom, and losing her best friend after being murdered. Plus the seasonal mysteries have both been completly unpredictible and really quite shocking. It's hard to throw twists at me like that because of how many movies and TV shows I've seen that have "unpredictible endings". I'm such a loser (yeah I admit it ![]() |

While I enjoy Prison Break, I'd have to completly disagree. It's one of those shows where you have to turn off the part of your brain that makes sense and logic out of things. Plus it's just too popular to be under-rated in the first place. I enjoy Lost much more.
![]() Right and as for it being popular, yes it is somewhat but it doesn't get discussed as much by people as shows like 24 and Lost do. Plus I like Lost and have watched every episode, and whilst it seems to be finally picking up the last few episodes - it just has been pretty dire most of the season. Lost is definitely the most overrated show on TV, but it isn't bad. |

This is kind of hard to explain, but with Lost, it has a Sci-Fi/fantasy theme to it. When you see a giant puff of smoke monster, you don't think "well, I've never seen anything like that!". Now they haven't explained much of anything yet so in the end if it makes absoultly no sense, you'd be right. With Prison Break though, even if it had a sci-fi theme, it'd still make me scratch my head and say "what the fuck...?". Take for example everything that lady (the one whose the lawyer for Lincoln) did in the finale. Actually almost all of the things that don't make sense about the show revolve around her. Let's hope in the season 2 premiere Clarence says "Hi" right back to her, pulls out a gun, and kills that walking plot hole.

It is MILES better than Lost but doesn't nearly get as much as praise as Lost, or at all. Prison Break is just brilliant TV As far as actual under rated shows go, I'd like to say Scrubs. It's easily the best show on television (although depending which episodes are run during the week The Office can overtake it once in awhile). It's funny, dramatic, thoughtful and more importantly timeless. It uses pop culture references, but jumps all over the map from the 70's all the way to modern day when making them. The characters help make the show, with J.D. (Zach Braff) making the perfect main character. Scrubs is easily the most under rated television show out there today, especially when shit like Prison Break is receiving such high esteem. Supernatural- I had no expectations for this show, but by the end of the season, it turned out to be by far the best new show this year. Under-rated since it was questionable that it would come back. |
