Default Which In Your Honest Opinion was the best Friday the 13th Movie?
Since they made a LOT of these movies in the series. People have been debating over which one was the best in the series. So which was your best? (Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs Jason DOES COUNT!)

Freddy vs. Jason was the dumbest horror film I've ever seen, it ruined the series. Im not really a Jason or Freddy guy. I'm more into Micheal Myers.

Yeah the Mike Meyers movies were good. I would have to say the first Fri the 13th film. It actully made me nervous to watch some more, but like the 8th one. (Which was Fri the 13th Part 8) was SUPPOSED to be set in New York, but the last 20 mins of the movie was. And the rest was on a boat. :|

Actually the story for Freddy Vs. Jason was actually good, the movie as a whole just sucked....Imo EVERY Friday the 13th (i did like the first one some though) movie sucked, as did EVERY Halloween movie...Movies like Childs Play and Nightmare on Elm Street are good because the killers actually have a personality, and that allows you to get into the movies. Michael and Jason just walk around like a bunch of statues, and to me that is boring, and that is why i will never get into movies like that. I need a killer that has a personality for me to actually want to watch the movies.

P.S. even though i guess this is sort of a debate, still moving to the movie forum.

I bought the Friday The 13th collection on DVD (but had to go out and buy Jason Goes To Hell separate....I already owned Freddy vs. Jason, which I loved....and Jason X just sucked ass), and I've seen them all 3 or 4 times.

I'd say that my favorite is number 3. This is the movie where Jason found the HOCKEY MASK and wore it. This movie was also played in 3-D when released in theatres (sadly, the DVD was not in 3-D...shame). And even then, the cameras they used were a real upgrade compared to what was used for the first two.

I like the Goes To Hell film, isnt that the one where Freddy Grabs his mask on the sand and drags below the surface? Well thats the one i like. Also FVJ was a good film IMO. It did suck ass a bit, but the way they brought them into it was good. Its like, if you sleep your dead... but awake your running non-stop away from Jason. Good stuff.

One thing i dont get but, is why did Jason have a telepathic person after him? That fucked up the series a bit.

yeah i always liked Michael Myers movies...up until they started to add famous black people in it. Now im not racist...but i think its kind of lame to have busta rhymes doing kung fu on Michael....too bad he didnt chop his fucking head off. I just dont like the idea of a classic horror series turning into main stream hip hop, just because it seems to be popular at the moment.

I would have to say after seeing 1, 7, 8, Jason X, and Freddy vs Jason. My vote goes to Jason X. It was a pretty cool movie. Even has some comedy in it.

I actually really loved Freddy vs. Jason. It didn't really have any horror elements to it though. It's like they finally just gave up and decided to have Freddy and Jason just battle it out. I really don't like to count this one as part of the F13 or NOES series alone though.

For Friday the 13th, part 3 was my favorite. It had the classic camp scene before they started adding gimmicks and like Dom said, it's the first time we really see Jason the way he's known as today.
