Well as we all know, not all movies can be uplifting. Some movies, when they're done, just make you feel like worse of a person. So what are some of the most depressing movies that you have ever seen.

1. Requiem for a Dream- This is probably the epitome of a depressing movie. There is not one real positive emotion that this movie conveys. The image of that guys horribly infected arm will stay with my forever, and it just made me queasy after i was done.

2. American History X- Although one of my favorite movies, its another one that just leaves you with an icky feeling in your stomach when you witness the conclusion. Shows just how much racisim effects just not you, but everyone around you. A brilliant movie, but depressing none the less.


Im sure theres more, i just cant really think of any that stick out at the moment. So which ones come to your mind?

I'm going to have to agree u on American History X. I never saw the conclusion til a couple times after seeing parts of the movie. Very depressing in my book on how it ends.

I don't watch much besides comedy so.. don't really see many depressing movies but esipodes on tv, yes but thats belongs in another forum.
