Default Halo The Movie's Writer confirmed.
http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/585/585098p1.html

It's Alex Garland (28 Days Later). As far as they keep Uwe Boll away from this movie, I'll keep my hopes high!

Oh....

and there are those who didnt believe my news last time, what are they to say now?!

Hmmmm.
Should be interesting to see what he can offer with his second screen play.
I personally thought 28 Days Later was OK but some dialogue was a bit bad. However this may very well of fallen on how the actors presented it. The actors were hardly the best.
Anyway hopefully this will make a good movie. Not a fan of the games but we need a good new alien movie.

Movies based on games suck 99% of the time so my expectations will be low.

ah gee wizz sir, i'm sorry! I'm so sorry i might actually not be sarcastic for the second part of this post!

i'm not really bothered about a film of halo, the games all good and fun but only because you are part of it. To me it'll just be another dull action film with halo wrapping paper over it. The great thing about halo is that you feel you are part of a huge battle and you do loads of cool things.

plus what will they do with grunts? they'll just look like uglier ewoks

Here's more news:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/02...s_6117963.html

"The paper says ex-Columbia Pictures president Peter Schlessel is advising Microsoft to "develop its own script and shop it to studios once satisfied" in order to avoid the critical drubbing suffered by such game-based movies as Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Alone in the Dark."

Sounds good.

I hope that they just have a good screenplay. I do not care who writers it just as long as it is good... but then again you need a good cast and director on top of that.
Really the best director and cast can make even the worse screenplay look good.... unless the screenplay is truly terrible.
