Well If freeze hadn't beat me to the punch I would have been the first to say Mel Gibson.
A few reasons why I like mel gibson: Braveheart, Signs, The Patriot, Ranson and Payback. Plus he's the director of one of the most moving movie expericences in modern cinema The passion of the christ. My second favourite actor is probably one of the crappiest actors out their from all the raspies he's won but no the less I like Sylvester Stallone. He's in everyone of my favourite action movies including the greatest box set of movies I ever bought the rocky collection. |

My favourite's Tom Hanks. He's outstanding in all his movies, and he's proved he can do any genre of film. He can take the serious role like in The Green Mile, Philadelphia and Castaway etc. He can play the comedic guy like in The Terminal and The Ladykillers. And ofcourse he can do kids movies like in Toy Story and more recently The Polar Express.
I prefer actors who can do a wider variety of movies, rather than ones who tend to stick to the same all the time. Even Jim Carey's started doing serious stuff which I respect, he was fantastic in Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. |

Will Ferrell - He's growing to be the next big thing in comedy movies though I think he could play serious roles well. If you see him on SNL you know he can hold a straight face better then anyone.
Mel Gibson - An amazing actor who I am suprised no one has said yet. He's got this charm to him usually when he plays a character and like Tom Hanks who has been mentioned, Mel can play a wide range of characters. Bruce Willis - Probably my favority overall actor. This man is phenomenal. He came up from being a star on Moonlighting to a huge box office hit. Bruce Willis has proven over time he can play more roles than the big action star. Robert Deniro - Such as Pacino is, just a class actor. Some of his movie choices as of late haven't been the best but he usually makes the best out of what he's doing. Samuel L. Jackson - This man can change characters between films so well and still be entertaining. He just zips through roles to but always shines through. From Pulp Fiction to Unbreakable (which I feel is highly underrated) he comes out with a totally different character. Carrey, Depp, Pacino, and Denzel are other amazing actors who were mentioned. In my profile you can view some of my other favorite actors. There are just too many actors to single out one person. |

Johnny Depp for the fact he's a superb actor all over.
Tom Hanks for same reason as Depp. Jim Carrey because he is one of the best comedy actors out there and can do some great more serious roles. Seann William Scott. I know he's nothing superb but I just like him. Theres a few voice actors aswell but not really movies so won't count. |

I'm erring towards Tim Curry, Steve Buscemi and Johnny Depp. All three seem capable of playing virtually any role and all have a superb on-screen prescence. Look at the Rocky Horror Picture Show: no disrespect to ANY of the cast in what is an awesome movie, but Curry was still ten times better in front of the camera than anyone else.
Depp has a very odd ability to look and sound entirely different in every movie he stars in. I always have to kick myself into remembering that Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands and Jack Sparrow are all played by the same person. Buscemi is just ace. I also enjoy Jim Carrey's more serious works: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is probably my second favoruite movie of all time and he's in every scene of that (obviously). The Truman Show is also a pretty good movie. |

I have a few Ewan McGregor,Adam Sandler,Sean William Scott.
I just respect Ewan because he's Scottish and he's proved in many films how good an actor he is! Sandler's films are real funny,Happy Gilmore and Billy Maddison, two of his funniest! As for SWS I've respected him since his American Pie Role,He's a really funny actor aswell! -=Ni(7)kE=- |
