Anas narrated that Rasulullah said:

"Whoever recites La ilaha illAllah any time during day or night, his sins are remitted from his account, and virtues are written instead." The Prophet said; "A person who recites "La ilaha illAllah" one hundred times a day, will on the Day of Judgement be raised with his face shining like a full moon and none can surpass him in the excellence on the day except one who recites this kalimah more than him." Excerpt from hadith narrated by Ibn 'Abbas : Whoever recites this kalima and lengthens its pronunciation intending thereby to magnify Allah swt, Allah will remit four thousand grave sins for him, and if he did not commit four thousand, Allah will remit the difference for his family and neighbors. It is related in the hadith: "Whoever says "No god except Allah" ('la ilaha illAllah') and lengthens his pronunciation intending thereby to magnify Allah, four thousand of his sins are struck thereby from the register of his sins."
