Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah,
To start things off, please listen to this recitation of the last few verses of Surah Fajr by Shaykh Minshawi rahimahullah. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=DD5vB25ZS6g It was only 1 minute long but subhanAllah, when I listened to it, my soul felt like flying out of my body and my heart became constricted. It made me realise that I don't reflect enough about the Day of Judgement and that I am not preparing enough for it. I think this issue extends to all our communities. We love having debates about salafism vs. sufism, this Shaykh, that Shaykh and this hardens our hearts. So even when we listen to exhortations about the Day, we are not moved as we should be. My purpose in opening this thread is to remind myself and others about the Great Day on a regular basis inshaAllah. I ask from Allah protection from riyaa' and I ask Allah to accept this effort. |
