In the past I posted many questions on learning Arabic, where to, how to & what to..
So mashallah I found a teacher who I do a 30 minute class each day with over Skype. He is based in Pakistan and is also a scholar. After 4 weeks I could read the Quran without faults in Arabic mashallah, but very slowly. And prior to this I didn't know even one Arabic letter in the alphabet. It's now been about 10 weeks & I'm now leaning to understand the meaning of words in the Quran. I know this is all due to Allahs will for me to learn & I am so thankful & the reason for posting is just to say to anyone who is putting off learning Arabic like I did don't delay. The rewards are great from learning Arabic, both religiously & personally. |

![]() You have taken a good initiative brother, may Allah give you isteqamah over this, what books are you referring for this, I mean is your tutor following some nizam or he just teaches based on some language learning books, let me know the details of your learning session, I mean what practices you follow, what books you refer... |

Thank you brother.
We first started off with madinah Arabic online course for the alphabet, this helped me alot. Once I learnt the alphabet we went straight to Quran, everyday I would study a certain Surat and recite that night to my teacher until I learnt things like aalif al madd etc for proper pronunciation. We are now working from this: http://www.kalamullah.com/Books/Ilm_un_Nahw_Eng.pdf |

This has been an amazing experience for me & opened up my eyes so much. I now don't waste my time watching television & listening to music. Even though I previously read the Quran in English only it just wasn't the same feeling and certain things have happened that made my eman so much stronger. One of the things that happened was while learning & reciting different surats I had one favorite that I really liked to recite & would recite it everyday after reciting the Surat I needed to recite to my teacher & it was Surat humaza. I looked into the meaning after a few weeks and found the meaning and was AMAZED because it's exactly my passion in life & living in Australia this is how everyone lives, by the dollar, jealousy for people who have more money than others etc and it's always been a dislike for me.
Mashallah this religion is so true, beautiful & amazing. Nothing has given me so much happiness, peace, stability, confidence, respect & values. Mashallah I was guided to this deen. |
