Moulana Iliyas [May Allah enlighten his grave with Noor] stated that he had been to many Khanqah's and witnessed many methods however he has seen none more effective of achieving closeness to Allah then reading the Quran looking into the Mushaf during Tahajjud time before fajr.

Duas requested from both of you bros at that special time

I prefer completing recitation sometimes before fajr( very rarely), at fajr time or in the morning before zuhr, if i delay more than this then i struggle to finish my daily recitation, but i suppose you have to take in account the times of salah in which the times differ extensively from country to country.

I remember some ulama and elders saying that we should complete our mamulats before fajr.

If that even... unfortunatly these days in khurooj you'll be lucky if some bro's even pick up the Quran let alone read it before fajr time
