What is Islams take on global warming. The west denies this coz then they have to foot a huge bill on carbon stamping. etc. What should we as Muslims do and what is the future of the planet from Islam's perspective? Are we also in denial but for a different reason? Maybe ignorance? ....

It is Allah Who sends forth the Winds, so that they raise up the Clouds, and We drive them to a land that is dead, and revive the earth therewith after its death: even so (will be) the Resurrection!

the first part may prove how our actions as humans, muslims included may be killing the earth's "life force". Now I can blame capitalism and it's evils but finger pointers point 3 in thier own direction. Blame our materialism and rampant consumerism which is driving the whole machine. Those actions very much due to the self centered western attitudes which are contrary to Islamic way of life as stipulated by countless ayah and ahadith.
The true sunnah way of life is purely want not waste not. Its completely green, similar to the favourite colour of The Messenger of Allah Most high (SAW). The Rasul of Allah SAW iis said to have used an amount of water less than one cup for ablution. The same goes for any other waste i.e electricity, fossil fuel, food; haram! Those excesses will be questioned, not only by the creator, but the creation itself will want fair due for being treated unjustly.
Ever read the fate of those of us who walked very harshly and proudly upon the Earth, when in the grave? Yes it will crush us for our abuses. The Earth!

If you follow Global warming there such a thing as each country in the world being given a carbon stamp per year. Any country exceeding or hits the limit then needs to buy from countries which have'nt. This way what you spew out is supposedly controlled. I heard some African countries sell their stamps to these developed filth spewers their stamps at an exorbitant price but pay the price in whether pattern changes.... but...yawn.... who cares?

im not saying that global warming is not real..........and neither am i saying that it is real, but this selling of carbon stamp thing sounds like another scam to me. why would a country that prints money out of thin air care about their carbon stamp when they can just pay off a third world country?

Unfortunatly we have gone so far away from the state fitra that we think these concepts are alien. Every single created being will be witness against us for our transgression. Irionically it is the rich arab countries with their loveaffair with anything artifical and 4 wheel drive that slaps the ideals of Islamic ethos and hence exhibit the same type of self gratification culture of the west.

These ayaat come to mind regarding this issue:
18:7-8
{ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُم أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً }


Truly We have made all that is on the earth, in the way of animals, plants, trees, rivers and so on, as an adornment for it, that We may try them, that We may test mankind observing thereby, which of them is best in conduct, therein, that is, [to see which of them] is the most abstemious of it.

{ وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيداً جُرُزاً }


And indeed We shall turn all that is therein into barren shreds, that produce no plants.


Another issue which comes to mind is the saying from shaykh Abdul Qadir al Jilani (rh) (paraphrased and translated): Allah made knowledge one and Man broke it into categories.

In the industrial and postindustrial eras, Man excelled at compartmentalizing knowledge into sciences, but because the kufar took the lead at this and engaged in secularization, they lacked foresight and enlightened, comprehensive perception and comprehension. They lacked a unifying viewpoint and doctrine which connected ecology to mechanical engineering to astro physics to microbiology. Thus, they went about blindly.

Global Warming is a result of the leadership of mankind being in the hands of the kufar.
They declared secularism and therey empowered Man to invent and devise his own system of life without consideration of the Hereafter. This also reflected in the lack of farsight for just a few generations into their future too. Secularized "Muslims" have followed them willingly in every Muslim country.

So they concocted CAPITALISM as the economic system for Man. And since the end of the Cold War, it has propagated and encompassed the entire world, including the Muslim world which attempted to resist it, as well as Socialist countries. It is only recently that Western powers have began to figure the ecological impact of capitalism implemented globally. Global Warming is the foremost adverse result of it. But is it too late?
Will Allah (SWT) render the entire planet a barren wasteland as a result of liberalized global capitalism as the above ayaat seem to suggest?
At least until the Gog wa Magog are destroyed and a balance is restored as the ahadith prophecize?

It's a byproduct of the global economic system of capitalism which is manmade and therefore prone to all of the shortcomings of Man (prejudice, difference, ignorance, and thus, unacceptable for producing a harmonious relation between Man and the world and universe.

End capitalism and the global reign of kufr manmade systems.

Suratul Saff 61:9


{ هُوَ ٱلَّذِيۤ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ }


It is He Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the "deen" of truth, that He may make it prevail, that He may raise it, over all [other] "deen"s, [over] all the "deens" which oppose it, though the disbelievers be averse, to this. And this can only be established by adhering to the methodology of the Prophet (saaw) and the khulafa rashidoon, as he (saw) prophecized would occur in the unknown future.
