Default Sahabah..
Assalamu alaikum everyone.
I heard today that the Shia believe that the sahabah left the profit (saw) for a few days laying in the place he died while they decided the khalifa???
Is there any truth to this story?

Long time no see bro, hope you are doing fine.

The delay of the burial of our beloved Rasoolullah was due to many reasons. First of all not many had the knowledge of the procedure of bathing and burying an Ambiya. Also The Janaza prayer was done without an imam, individually. So it took time. Also they didn't know where to bury Rasoolullah . It was AbuBakr (ra) who knew about these matters.

From Shamail Tirmidhi:

(378) Hadith Number 11.
Abi Salamah bin 'Abdurrahmaan bin 'Awf Radiyallahu 'Anhu said: "Rasulullah Sallallahu'Alayhi Wasallam passed away on a Monday, and was buried on a Tuesday".

(372) Hadith Number 5.
'Aayesh Radiyallahu 'Anha narrates: ''After the demise of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, a disagreement arose (between the Sahaabah) regarding the burial. (Some perferred the Masjidun Nabawi, Some because of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam's attachment to the Sahaabah, said the Baqi. Some said he should be buried next to his great grandfather, Ebrahim, 'Alayhi Salaam. Some said at his birth place in Makkah Mukarramah.etc.) Abubakr Radiyallahu 'Anhu thereupon said: 'I heard something from Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam which I did not forget (and remember very well). The death of the ambiyaa occurs in the very place where their burial is desired. Hence bury Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam at the place of his deathbed (where his death occurred)'''.
back

Shias are known to twist facts and lie. So do not give ear to them bro.

Salaam brother Amr. I have been good & still on the forum daily, although I have not been posting much because of my lack of knowledge within the very knowledgable brothers & sisters on this forum Mashallah. So usually will read everyday but post my questions.
Yes, the Shia are very shifty from my experience and will tell you anything to try & sway you away from Islam to shiasm, so I didn't think much of it..
He actually told me that our profit saw died on the Monday & didn't get buried until over a week later on the Wednesday!
They will stop at nothing with their lies...
Once they find out your a revert like me, they try so hard to find new ways to confuse you, I'm at the point now where I just say yeah... Do some research & go back to tem and say brother I looked into what you told me & this is what I found... I have learnt alot about Islam because of the research o have had to do to find the truth..

Wow. I have no idea why they say such things.
May Allah save us from such misguidance. Ameen.
Take care bro. Remember me in your Duas.

Great observation brother. Your self-control is exemplary. Now I am wondering why can't I follow that!

Salam Aleykum,

I just want to add that this is not their job, it is the job of his family to wash him and shroud him and dig his grave and bury him.

The reason I say this is because this is a good forum with so many many knowledgable people mashallah. I also go on a local australian forum sometimes & it's more like a social site. People fight and argue on a daily basis, mods shut down so many posts... It really is embarrassing to us Australian Muslims!
