The western newspapers are in terminal decline alhamdulillah. A fitting end for a machine that has been attacking Islam non stop for the last decade or more. I was thinking, why dont we help this decline along by not buying any newspapers and encouraging a boycott? |

salaam bro, youll havbe to forgive me but i didnt understand your post. The media is a war nachine against the muslims. Its controlled by people who dont wish any good for the muslims. Now, alhamdulillah the media is collapsing and we can help that along inshAllah if we dont purchase newspapers.
Regarding your questions, im currently improving my arabic, increasing my knowledge of hadeethy, fiqh, tafseer etc and trying to memorise teh qur'an and hopefully bi ithnillah implement what im learning. I didnt hear of any tassawuf shaikh in sheffield |

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/gree...nal-newspapers Is it not ironical then that the newspapers print islamaphobia stuff to increase their paper demand but the opposite has been the effect. ...SubhanAllah... the mystery of AllahJJ. |

ASWW I dont believe the papers were only attackking muslims to increase ratings though, something more sinister is at hand. Governments have always controlled th emedia to utilise for propaganda at war times, now is no different |

salaam bro, youll havbe to forgive me but i didnt understand your post. The media is a war nachine against the muslims. Its controlled by people who dont wish any good for the muslims. Now, alhamdulillah the media is collapsing and we can help that along inshAllah if we dont purchase newspapers. I had a long discussion about the press with a couple of my colleagues on this subject. To cut a long story short the only reason they do it is because of ignoramii actually purchasing the product. Compare your average Daily Mail reader (or as I like to call it DAILY FAIL) to someone who does not read it?? Also most of the press in the UK is right wing, with an agenda, to stoke up hatred, in order for them TO HAVE SOMETHING TO FILL THERE PAPERS. A story of muslims fighting against a bunch of neo nazis always get a fw pages. The Guardian is perhaps the only paper which runs a centrist view, but even they have turned into secularists more and more as the years go by, and will always be anti religion. (Have you noticed how they criticise all of religion rather than a single entity?) In regards to your boycott, this wont work, as the only people who will want it or who will speak about it at this minute are me and you. A few muslims who dont buy papers anyway and telling other muslims about not to purchase them wont make a big diference to them, it will be laughable. Interestingly enough, you do know the Sun (the worst rag in all of Britain) is stsilll boycotted by Liverpool football club fans for its portrayal of them at the Hillsborough disaster? What I would say is not to worry about these kind of publications, as they are plotting for their own downfall, people are beginning to realise how faulty and fake there stories really are... What might help though however is to thoroughly investigate the local press in your own city for any sign of any Islamophobic comments before you take it onto a bigger level.. The Press Complaints commission normally comes down harder on the local idiots rather than the national ones Jazakallah |
