Default Book Recommendations

I was shocked to find out there aren't many threads on Islamic books here so I thought I'd start one.
I would recommend The Islamic Conquest of Syria (Futuhusham). It is a wonderfully written book and instills the love of the Sahaba in whoever reads it.
So, what would you brothers and sisters recommend I read?

"Prayers have three veils-

Where of the first is prayers uttered only by the tongue.

The second is when the mind, by hard endeavour and by firmest resolve, reaches a point at which, being untroubled by evil suggestions, it is able to concentrate itself on divine matters.

The third veil is when the mind can with difficulty be diverted from dwelling on divine matters.

But the marrow of prayer is seen when He who is invoked by prayer takes possession of the mind of him who prays ..."

14. Hadhrat Jaabir Bin Abdullah (radiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“Salaat is the key to Jannat.”
(Daarami)
This indicates the superiority of Salaat over other acts of ibaadat.
15. Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Qart (radiallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“The first act about which one will be questioned on the Day of Qiyaamah will be Salaat. If Salaat is found to be proper, other acts too will pass as proper. But, if Salaat is found there to be despoiled, then all other acts too will fail
(Tibrani, Ausat)
The influence of Salaat will permeate all other acts of ibaadat.
Salaat will be the criterion for the reckoning of one’s acts of virtue. Success in Salaat will bring about the success of all other acts of ibaadat while failure in Salaat will lead to the failure of other acts of ibaadat. This is a great proof for the significance and superiority of Salaat. Its vital importance for the success of a Muslim in both this world and the hereafter can never be exaggerated.

Excellent recommendation. I can remember the day I purchased this book, I remember the bright sunshine of that summer day. My friend and I went for jummah and afterwards I purchased this book, I got it for $10.
