Assalaamu 'alaykum
alhamdulillah i strive in different levels not to masterba** and watch p*rn but one thing that puts me of from completly striving my hardest is this thought that - when i will get married inshallah(if allah wills) i will completely stop masterbating and doing zina with eyes, ears etc and then allah will forgive me. With this thought in my mind i do not strive hard enough. can someone plz reply to this and make me change my mind and help me to realise i have to strive and stop completly right now and not wait when i get married (if allah wills) and try my hardest then since allah is oft forgiving and will forgive any sins (except shirk) and this puts me of from trying harder and stopping plz reply. also im just 16, cant marry right now tooooo shy and schools in the way also my mind changes, when i dont feel sexualy aroused i still feel like getting pleasure since i get bored and then cant remain patient. whenever sometimes i get abit of feeling for zina with eyes especially i dont try hard enough to stop. jazakallah khair( may allah reward you) |

Assalaamu 'alaykum Being around with knowledgable and very experienced imams (in topics like these), they've always said that it is a common trick of shaytan that he makes you think that you will give it up after marriage. What happens most of the time is these things still remain with you even after marriage (this is from the words of experienced imams - they've seen cases where people prefer to mast***** in bed rather than do it with their wife who is right next to them), and the same goes for other things (such as wearing the hijab). |

you should think for a moment that what if someone was doing this to your sister/wife/mother/daughter. If that is not enough to put you off you should think that originally these women were pure but filthy men took away their honor and slowly they become used to it.
Often we hear men abusing women that do zina and say that if they dressed properly then we would not have fitnah (this may be true to some extent) but these men should think that if men did not attempt to take the honor of a woman then women would not try to please men in such a despicable manner. Also i do not know about the situation in the west but in our Muslim countries especially the sub-Indian continent a lot of women get forced and black mailed into such situations so it would be wise to think "maybe these women are originally chaste and pure- I will be GRIPPED on the day of judgement because of this". Ultimately aim to have hatred for such a despicable desecration of the izzat of a woman. Lets also remember those sisters(muslim/non-mulim) in our duas that are trapped in such situations and that Allah enables them to leave without harm and become the mothers of pious children. |

Assalaamu 'alaykum Masturbation is also addictive Give them up or you will probably find they continue into your married life (with new excuses). Those who look at porn look at hundreds of women - this can only train them for adultery not save them from it. Also it trains them to look at all women as sex objects - porn addicts are often the men you see on buses who are looking at strange women in a bad way - porn teaches you to look at women and prepares your mind for zina, don't listen to satanic whisperings that tell you that it is beneficial. Give up porn right now, it is one of Iblees' biggest tricks in his campaign to get you into hellfire Masturbation is better than zina, but do you really need to masturbate to avoid zina? - if you stop masturbating and you are still full of lust then your nafs will probably disperse it through wet dreams - something you will not be punished for in hereafter. If you cannot fast to reduce your lusts then try jogging it is a good way to burn off the excess of energy that you seem to have and to help you sleep without these problems coming into your mind. Get married as soon as you can if you are full of sexual hunger. Your soul is more important than your education. |

![]() The following thread will help in regards to this, Insha'Allah: http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...r-Masturbation I have quoted the first post from the above-linked thread below which pretty much sums it up. Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh 1) Stop listening to music. 2) Stop watching ANY kind of TV, movie etc. and throw away your TV, movies and music. 3) Remove pictures from your living place 4) Don't look/listen/touch at/to non-mahram women. 5) Don't have an idle mind/body, keep yourself doing something useful either worldly, religiously or both. 6) Do not entertain erotic thoughts, when they come, do dhikrullah. (Recite the Quran.) 7) Don't use the internet when you're idle, NEVER visit websites like y**t*be. (Not even for so-called 'Islamic' reasons, as it is a generally indecent place which most often suggests haram videos on sidebar.) 8) Don't use internet/computer when alone, use public computer. 9) Avoid bad company/bad friends, keep company with pious brothers. Avoid being alone for long time periods. 10) Do not read newspapers where you know that you will encounter indecent imagery. (There are plenty of ways of keeping yourself informed in a halal way.) 11) Do not eat spicy food 12) Do not sleep on your back neither on your stomach, sleep ONLY in sunnah way 13) DO MUCH DHIKR 14) DO MUCH DHIKR 15) DO MUCH DHIKR Completely deactivating images in Firefox: Edit -> Preferences -> Content: Remove the check at "Loading Pictures Automatically". (You might want to add exceptions for safe websites like Sunniforum.com or Askimam.org) Completely deactivating flash: Uninstall the Flash Player (YES, it is possible to live without flash, there are plenty of people who enjoy the web without flash.) Anyways, these are all only measures to prevent pulling the trigger of the urge. In effect the above measures should be a standard, every Muslim should actually already have taken precautions because many things mentioned in the above are not permissible anyway. But keep in mind: In the same way you are able to de-activate images/flash you are also able to activate them. The real reason which keeps you from doing the bad habit is to actually have strong iman. Strong iman is the only thing which keeps you from actually doing sin when being alone. That is why you need to strengthen your iman by the will of Allah through dhikr; e.g. read Quran. At some time, even with all these precautions the urge might nevertheless come up because it will be a simple waswasi proposal from Shaytan. This is the point where the actual combat starts and it is won purely by your heart fearing Allah, doing dhikrullah and simply NOT doing it. May Allah strengthen and guide you. Amin Wassalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh The one who may think the above quoted stuff has nothing to do with masturbation... well, think again. The key is to not try to think of "specific" ways to give up masturbation alone, but rather give up SIN as a WHOLE, and that's when Insha'Allah it will become easy(ier) to stay away from such harmful and haram habits and as well as develop your imaan and get closer to Allah ![]() ![]() Also Insha'Allah try to make it a habit to fast often. Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays is Sunnah so Insha'Allah try to adopt that habit. Rasulullah ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Plus some people are saying....stop watching TV , this and that balh balh...DON'T do this! T.V keeps you connected from the world. It tells you what is happening around you etc. Such "solutions" are very impractical. ![]() So, brother, you think you've figured something out which is 'better' than over 1400 years of Islamic teachings? If you're condoning TV programming which exists in this day and age, then you're condoning that it's OK to look at uncovered women, it's OK to listen to music, it's OK to befriend obscenity, it's OK to look the other way while people are insulting the commandments of Allah ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, don't get me wrong here, there are exceptions to this, as IMO a television set in itself is not 'haram' (but that's my opinion, not scholarly opinion), rather it's the programming which is shown on there which is haram. Just like if I have an empty bottle, I have the option to fill it with a halal drink, such as water, and drink it and give it to others, or I have the option to fill it with alcoholic drinks (haram) and drink it myself and give it to others. The bottle in itself is not 'haram', rather the contents of it. If there is the type of programming which is 100% Islamic, then Alhamdulillah TV can indeed be a very good and healthy thing to watch. However, that would be MAYBE 1% of programming which exists today, regardless of where one lives, so that's kind of a tough one. Please read this article called The Influence of Television, by Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel Saheb (rahmatullah alayh) and Insha'Allah it might help give you a more clear understanding of the dangers of today's television programming. Afterwards, please think about your choice of words if you choose to comment on this article, because it was written by a world-renowned Scholar who everyone respected and still misses dearly, and whose 'ilm (knowledge) Masha'Allah remains to be unmatched by most of us on this forum and elsewhere. Please forgive me if I said anything wrong. Allah knows best. ![]() ![]() |
