No, not exactly. There are guys in the class that she pairs you up with, and if there aren't enough guys, then some of us girls take the guys part and learn it too. So, we get the benefit of learning both parts. She's also added a teaching component to the class, so we will be able to qualify to teach it by the time we are done.

As normal and typical of every semester, I dive into new ventures in the workout area. I've already mentioned this in a past post, but lets recap on the new plan, just so we know what I'm doing and I can keep track of it.
This is what I am doing as far as formatted workouts AT SCHOOL and school only. As I am also required to practice (do homework) at home. This means that you can pretty much double the posted times because some of these things take a lot of work to get the hang of.. and my endurance has really gone to shit since having Christmas break off. Not to mention these things require that I "reteach" my muscles a new method. Mon & Wed .. swing dance.. 1 hour sessions Yoga..... 1 hour sessions gymnastics.... 1 hour sessions Tue & Thurs... Pilates.. 1 hour sessions gymnastics... 1 hour sessions.. Now, I am enrolled in the Mon, Wed class for gymnastics, but I have this absolute fear of falling on my head, so I talked to the coach and he recommended that I come to the Tue, thurs, class also, just so I get over my fear, and help me gain more balance. I have to admit, I have quickly fallen in love with this class. AND ON TOP OF THAT, we run a quarter mile before every class to get warmed up.. Can you believe that?? Me?? run a quarter mile without keeling over dead??? Holy cow, I couldn't believe it. Anyways, this is what I'm up to as far as formatted "school activities" goes,, but I'll tell you, my schedule this semester has me running back and forth across campus so much that I'm actually logging 7 miles of "just walking" time between classes.. PS, Did ya miss me? |
