i just listened to it... eh... i guess it's a step in the right direction of getting rid of the nu-metal sound, but the song just isn't that good. something about the chorus annoys me. and i don't know why it is, but whenever i hear Chester singing in another project or something (like his Home Sweet Home with Motley Crue) he actually has a good voice, but when he's with LP his voice suddenly gets way too nasally and whiny sounding

Where did you hear a 9min LP track??? They had some long remixes on Reanimation but thats it.
Oops, my bad Nicelo.

I meant to say the last album I bought with an "epic" song on it (near 9 minutes long) was fantastic, so I might also get it just to check out that song.

Sorry again.

I was really excited when Qwerty came out. But hearing the new single and tid bits from the upcoming album, I'm dissapointed. Linkin Park used to be my favorite band. I could probably recite Hybrid Theory on my own for 30 some minutes. It was such an amazing CD in my opinion. Meteora had some awesome tracks, but it wasn't the stuff that had me obsessed with Hybrid Theory. I'm hoping this won't be a let down. The only thing to do is wait until mid-May.

Heres the entire version (besides the very end) of Given Up. Really fucking good song.

Better than What I've Done IMO.

And I found the song "No More Sorrow" live.

I will probably edit this again if I find more.

Man oh man, "Given Up" is sooo different for LP bit I do still enjoy it. "No More SOrrow" sounds awsome, i'm in love the the heavy drums in the intro, reminds me of some Metallica.

I've already pre-ordered my copy of Minutes to Midnight, made sure I got the version with the art book.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora were good albums. I feel they went soft with that first single.

I was never the biggest fan of them though, and doing rap remixes with Jay Z and other rappers kind of killed it for me, One Step Closer remix with Johnathan Davis could have been alot better.

No buy for me.

wtf.
way too less rockish, more popish. It lacks UMPH. Maybe its the clip. I dont know.
Stupid record labels. Now all bands are sounding popish.
Im glad Chevelle's album turned out.
No offence man but what the hell do you class as pop? softer lyrics?

Pop=Britney Spears, Christina Agulara

Not Linkin Park...I feel that songs are recorded based on meaning behind the lyrics, "What I've Done" has alot of meaning behind so naturally it's going to be a softer song. The way your saying is that Rock artists never make soft songs...when in fact even metal bands make soft songs, I pretty sure LP will have their usual hard songs...but I feel that there will be alot of meaning behind the story of this album so I have no problem with softer songs.

As Nickelo said, sounds much like Metallica in some of those songs, but of course when the guy who helped product Metallica music is on your side, that tends to happen LOL.

I happen to love LP and this changing of the guard on how they do music really shows how talented they are as a band. I cannot wait for the new album and I will be buying it post haste as soon as its on the shelf.

I'll take Linkin Park seriously when they get rid of the rapper.

You do know he plays guitar, right?

Plus, I think they're cutting down on the rap this time around.

It seems as though they are sectioning off the rap and singing to seperate songs, instead of the typical LP formula of both of them bouncing off of each other in every song.

Liver version of "What I'v Done" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHo0s...ation%2Ecom%2F

Sounds amazing live. I so wish that they would bring their concert to the martimes...or that I end up somewhere that they come to, need to see them live.

And CBA, don't knock Mike. He's a pretty slick MC and he adds a lot to the band.

Also, Collision Course was a decent piece of work. Numb/Encore and Lying from You/Dirt of your shoulder were pretty amazing.

I loved their first two albums, skipped over reanimation and the jay-z crap. But I'm very much looking foward to the new album. If you pre order the album from Itunes you get exclusive tracks, so I guess thats how im gonna go. Stupid Itunes pulling that shit.

Well the album has leaked.
And I love it, I'd say it's their best album yet.
Perhaps better than Hybrid Theory, At this point I'd give it 5/5.

"Bleed it Out" is without a doubt the best rap/rock song to date.
And I think "Given Up" is perhaps the best guitar driven song to date.

I love it that much.

Finally an album which lives up to the hype and is three dimmensional.
I may actually go out and buy it.
