Hi all,
I was just wondering if there was advice for how I might develop from the following situation, as I am finding it difficult to consciously project. Summary: Spontaneous projection (5 or six times a year) up until March this year. Then became aware of AP. Started working on it. Average 2 or so projections a week from dream state (usually at 4am) Can enter trance in 5 mintues, with total body relaxtion. Vibrations are light now (have been severe), can also feel them in waking state. Spent time in Astral (lower and higher - I think) Had 3 conversations with Higher Self (without sight) while in vibrations. Visited Higher Self 3 times while projecting. So, I feel I've come a long way. The only problem is: I only seem to manage a few minutes in the Astral before fading back into my body, and it's still difficult to do it consciously. Are there any intermediate courses/programs or activities that you have tried? Also, why is it that I don't get enough time to explore? |

What is your attitude in the astral? I find that projections end when I lose focus -- i.e. I get caught up in what's happening and slowly drift into unconsciousness... When I manage to "anchor" solidly by touching objects, concentrating very hard on the things around me without using physical reflexes, I'll last longer...
Are you projecting consciously or do your experiences tend to happen spontaneously? Maybe something happens at night that causes your body to become conscious in sleep, but with a time limit? i.e. you become conscious because you're uncomfortable, and so your maximum "air time" is actually the time between the moment you become conscious and the moment your body is so bothered by the uncomfortable feeling that it finally wakes up? Next time you're out there, maybe ask someone if you can get some help staying longer? |

My approach in the astral is normally one of detached, bemused interest. I don't normally get excited or emotional, as I know this can reconnect you to the physical.
Normally, I wake up in a dream and then, when aware, I raise some energy: sometimes the vibrations are already there. From this point I can project, normally by thinking of a place or person I'd like to visit. When I wake up in the dream, my body is usually in a comfortable position. Sometimes, I wake up completely early in the morning, and then turn on my pack and project from there. I was thinking that maybe I didn't have enough energy raised to last far from the body, could this be it? If so, are there other energy raising exercises - apart from those in MAP - that people have tried to get a bumper dose of energy in the energy-body? Also, your idea about asking someone in the astral for advice seems like a good idea: if only I get long enough to listen to the answer!! ![]() |
