I was wondering if anyone uses a technique similar to mine and what their success rate is?
Personally, I don't use separate relaxation or trance induction techniques. Neither do I use a falling technique. I use a short (10 Mins) self hypnosis relaxation routine, which I mentally intone. This not only takes me to a completely relaxed state but also into a light trance. from there the state seems to deepen until the vibrations kick in, when I can disengage from the physical. |

This sounds like an interesting and effective technique. What's your success rate? It works best when I am slightly tired (Not too tired or I just fall asleep), this seems to help with the speed of relaxation. These days I need the vibrations to kick in, which guarantees I can separate, but often they do not even though I obtain apparent total relaxation and trance. |

Could Joggerman let us in on exactly what his technique involves? Am always interested in how others go about this kind of thing.... I lie on my back queitly for a couple of minutes whilst my breathing steadies and slows, then slowly mentally speak the following - Ten... Relax... down... down.... deeper (pause) Nine... deeper... deeper... down... down... (pause) Eight... down... *******and so on down to one******Takes about 5 to 10 minutes. As I do this I concentrate on relaxing my 'whole' body at once, looking for tension. By the time I get to 'one' if I have not fully relaxed and approached 'trance' , I start again at the begining. As I say, it's a simple routine but works quite often for me. |
