I was not very hopeful after the early wickets and then when Gambhir got taken out.

All's well that ends well though

Default Cricket World Cup: India beat Pakistan
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/9438403.stm

Just hope it doesn't end with the player's relatives being kidnap. Most of both countries took a day off too watch this match

Of course, I'm ecstatic my team beat the old rivals.

Did hear about the kidnap threats... guess Pakistan's promise of 25 acres of land for each player didn't help much.

As for the final, team India have a good incentive

- she's promised to strip for the team if allowed and in front of the stadium if India win in the final on home soil (no team has done this yet)

I saw something yesterday I never thought I would ever see... Cricket on the front page of ESPN.com. And not just the front page, the featured article.

I don't know if it's an affiliate, subsidiary or spun off thing but their cricket info site is pretty phenomenal for all the stats and bits and pieces:

Why so cam? After India's previous match, I'd have thought you wouldn't have any love for them either
