In August 2010, Lily passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification (CGC).
The qualifications are outlined here: AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program In May 2011, Lily passed her American Temperament Test Society Temperament Test (TT). The qualifications are outlined here: Description of the Temperament Test | American Temperament Test Society, Inc. Now, in September 2012, Lily qualified for the AKC Therapy Dog Title (THD). The qualifications are outlined here: American Kennel Club - AKC Therapy Dog Program I'm so proud of my girl. ![]() I know there are other types of temperament evaluations (Schutzhund BH, ADBA Safe Dog, etc.), however, these are the three I wanted to achieve with Lily. She will, of course, continue to visit the girls on her therapy visits. They're hanging a picture of her on their activities wall. Now I just have to choose the best picture of the thousands I have ![]() Once her certificate arrives, we're going to hire PBC's very own Kady to take a picture of her with all three of her certificates ![]() |

Thanks all! The congrats all go to Lily, seeing as temperament isn't anything I had anything to do with. Did I train her to contain herself and not jump all over people and listen when I tell her to do something? Yes. But at the end of the day, especially when it comes to the ATTS TT, it's all on her.
She's an incredible dog who reminds me how lucky I am to have picked up someone's trash and found treasure in it. Now, if I could just get myself to get her back into the OB ring, we'd be doing everything I dreamed of with her. Until then, her flyball, agility, and coursing careers are sparkling and I couldn't be more pleased. She's a once in a lifetime dog who has taught me more and continues to teach me more than I could've ever thought. |

Wow congrats to you and Lily...and you must take some of the credit, geesh. From reading your posts, Lily is becoming quite accomplished, and these things take a great handler and lots of work. Okay so this gives me hope for Zoe, as this program is offered where I train, and after checking it all out I think it will take quite a while for my spaz of a dog to get there.
She is only 1 1/2 yrs old, so maybe with more consistent work in her obedience, agility, and maturity it will come. Good to hear that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel! Way to go Lily! |

Lily's 3, so it takes some time. We've been doing therapy visits for 2 years. The dogs have to be 18 months to test for their TT. |
