Default Huh, those WTF happened?
I had one of those moments last night and its bugging me because now I'm wondering if there was a strange person or something 'odd' out in the yard last night.

Last night I'm laying in my bed, my room is the shed, which is beside the side gate. Both dogs are outside because I was eating. Now, I've learnt the difference between the dogs and people walking around outside. I hear some one outside, I call and ask 'Who's out there?' because I heard some one playing with the gate and the dogs were going nuts, which was a concern because Serenity was off and no dought that person would have been bitten.

I quickly jump up to check what's going on, I check and no one is out there. This has left me stumped because I now wonder, was it a person? But it was only 8pm so why would some one try and enter a yard at that time... Or was it something more? I believe in ghosts so I believe that is a possibility.

Now I'm worried if it was a person, will they come back? If it was a person, I'm glad both dogs were out the back because they clearly deterred whatever was there. I know it wasn't my family because my step-dad was inside asleep and mum was inside, on her laptop, plus, the dogs wouldn't to off at them anyway. Mum heard it too..

I guess I may never know what happened.

One of life's great mysteries??

I'm glad I have 6.... no make that now 7, alarms... all of which sound wonderful!!

Maybe install motion sensors at different sections of your home? I love my motion sensor lights, they always go off when someone gets within 10 feet of my house.

Got that right. I'm not sure what to think, I'm just a tad concerned if it was a person.. I don't like the idea of some one trying to get in the yard with the dogs in it.

I've ziptied the fence for now but I'm buying a padlock tomorrow.

The motion detector lights are a great idea! Thank you! They'd be a great thing to have. I'll talk to mum today about looking in to some.

I have motion sensor lights at my house and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Granted they sometimes go off if the wind blows some leaves or something by, but I can deal with that, and usually, they aren't very expensive. My porch lights are on motion sensors and the good thing about them is, if I don't get home till late, they come on when I'm within 10 feet of the back door, so it helps getting inside once you can "see". my back deck light is on a 20-30 ft sensor, which basically means it tends to stay on all night, but I'm ok with that as well, and what little extra it ends up costing me in electricity, is simply peace of mind for me. Lowe's sells good ones too, and they aren't that high. I think you can get decent ones for about $30ish, maybe $40. Plus, if you place them strategically where they light the "hidden" areas, you'll find it very reassuring if you are ever outside at night. Plus, I think you can set them so they only go off if something is so many feet off the ground, so that way the dogs aren't setting them off all the time.
