I tend to yell "Call your dog!" twice then get all berserk-y and scare anyone with me. My husband tends to say "do you have to scream like that?"

Booggie, I was pretty sure you were the same in real life

I think jackasses can be on both ends of the spectrum. I'm a bitch from hell if owners with off leash dogs get an attitude with me... but that's because I'm defending my dogs, not because I like to look like a hard ass. If someone is apologetic about their off leash dog and there isn't any damage, I just let it go. I have no problem keeping my mouth shut and letting other people make themselves look like utter morons by running their own, in certain situations

Actually... I think sometimes you must talk to people this way. Some people are so ignorant, and uneducated, that if you speak to them in a polite manner they will not understand the point you are trying to convey. They don't understand the word “miss or ma'am” and they don't understand what “miss, can you please lease your dog?” means. Good for you, for standing up for yourself and your dog. I hope you don't have to deal with ignorant people again.

I'm NEVER polite to people with off leash dogs. My goal is to go to whatever level is necessary, so that the people get the point to get their damn dogs... that doesn't mean jumping straight to "I'm such a bad ass, don't mess with me!" just to look like a pompous hard ass for attention.

I hear ya Teal.

Just got back from a 3 mile walk with Mason. He was charged by 2 off leash Chihuahuas. Mason has never so much as even barked at a dog on our walks ... he was sniffing the Chi's out while tail wagging. We were in the middle of the street. Chi's are barking their heads off.

Guy came around the corner of his house, apologized and gathered up his two Chihuahua's ... I thanked him LOL

The earlier post I made in this thread was ummm ... a whole 'nother situation that none present nor the dog's owner was taking charge of and they weren't no Chihuahuas.

If Boogie goes to Wal-Mart often I bet there are more parking lot encounter stories. Lord knows I have a few. Someone should make a Wal-Mart shenannigans thread

I had a similar incident last week. Old broad got nasty with me, but she shut up real quick when I told her "I'm not afraid to beat an old fart's ass."

Someone almost backed into me in the Walmart parking lot.. like, me, not me in my car. Then proceeded to yell at ME for "being too small" Sorry that I'm short and you couldn't look in your rear view mirror!

loud mouths like you are suckers
Well shit I guess he could've just bent over and asked em to lube it up real good and be gentle like most of the general public loves to do anymore, but some of us "loud mouths" actually are HAPPY to call people on their shit WITHOUT the anonymity of the internet. What a novel fucking concept.

OK, so you say you punched a kid, and?..........And I also believe that you personally insulted me on the other board even though I never said a thing to you. I never did say anything though as I saw who was saying it, therefore my threat level was at 0. Just pointing it out....
