He grows every week lol. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png the body of the plott hound looks exactly like him. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png I can't get him to sit still enough to get a good pic of his body http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/frown.png

Not that it matters... but how can i tell?

Alright so I have 13 week pitbull... People always ask me what kind of pit he is. Ive had people ask me if he's an am staff or staffy. So not that it matters and I know that nothing is positive without pedigree but for you more experienced owners What do you think Blaze looks like? I've had people aske if he's boxer too which he's not lol thanks for the opinions and feel free to yell me why or help me understand the diff characterstics of each one thanks!

foodselfdourileka 06-30-2012 11:38 PM

ps there more pics on my profile if you need more http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

A pedigree is the ONLY 100% certain way to tell what your dog is.

This.

However, he's.. really furry. Either that or the picture just makes him look it!

I have an Amstaff, he looks nothing like Sako:

So I wouldn't call him an Amstaff mix.

I don't know that I'd even call him a Pit Bull mix. I swear, so many dogs are labeled as such and don't even resemble a "Bully" breed.

I would say staffy (sbt),but that is still only guessing and it is harder to guess with a puppy. Regardless he is soooo cute.

agrismhig 07-01-2012 12:20 AM

He looks nothing like an SBT pup. This is my friends SBT puppy:

(holy big picture, sorry!)

RicardoHun 07-01-2012 12:27 AM

Awwww -- he CUTE!

Looks like he could either be an American Staffordshire Terrier or an American Pit Bull Terrier or could have both in him....

Carol 07-01-2012 01:42 AM

Is it only me but, I don't see any of them in the dog. *shrugs*

Cute though.

Suvaxal 07-01-2012 02:38 AM

What SG said.

He's a cute pup.

maxfreemann 07-01-2012 03:03 AM

He's cute. But I have no idea. Without papers you just don't know. Have you met his parents? Grandparents?

I mean just looking at cute puppy pictures he doesn't look overwhelmingly APBT or AmStaff to me and for sure not SBT. I can't even really see 'pit bull'. But he's a puppy. At this point he looks sort of like a terrier... but I'm no expert.

casinobonusfrees 07-01-2012 04:40 AM

Agreeing w/ Kady on the furry part... he's kind of long-coated for an APBT or AST. Definitely not a Staffy bull, b/c he's too gangly. Maybe a hound mix? The only APBT trait I see is brindle... and that's in soooo many breeds! Could be a plott hound/APBT/Shepherd/Beagle mix for all I can see.. so let's just settle on Mutt, Mix, or All-American Heinz 57. http://www.pitbull-chat.com/images/smilies/smile.png

What's the story on him? Did you get him from "full-blooded" parents with no papers? Or from a shelter? VERY cute little guy, regardless of what he is.

Q- did the breeder dock his tail? Or is it just really short and kinky? The short, kinky tail screams some sort of bulldog.

Carol 07-01-2012 04:57 AM

Pitbullsareteddies@ I was thinking more greyhound mix.

foodselfdourileka 07-01-2012 05:35 AM

His dad is a full blooded APBT with blue tint according to the guy. His mom was full blooded apbt and all black. I don't believe the guy is why I'm asking. I took blaze from him at 6 weeks. I thought he was 8 when I got him. When I met him to pick up blaze I realized he was a liar and that blaze was in danger there so I adopted him to rescue him so to speak. I saw the parents when I was there they look like songs except the mom looked mixed with something else. About his tail its actually long and skinny. He has the temperment of an APBT
and about his fur ot did start fluffy but is slowly turning slick and shiney so ive been leaning towards APBT mix. And thank you all he is quite the looker lol. I will probably post more pictures as he gets older and comes into his body.

KkJvrG4d 07-01-2012 05:38 AM

I didn't know there was a KIND of Apbt.

Looks like a generic mix to me
