So once again the boyfriend's step dad and I are arguing over my dog. You might remember that he wanted me to trade him for an older dog because he was going through his stubborn puppy stage, well now Steve has decided that when Maximus is a year old he is going to take him to kill a few cats and fight a dog or two to "toughen him up". I flipped the f**k out on him and everything and all he did was laugh like it wasn't a big deal. How sick is that I told him not to go near my dog and that dog fighting is sick and is animal abuse but he doesn't get it and since Steve lives with me and zach and zach isn't going to kick him out I'm not sure how to fix this situation. He wont listen to me. We are about to seriuosly start fighting if he doesn't stop.

Controlling your own home and living situation is critical for anybody considering a pet. If you can't control everything that concerns your dog, and who has access to him, you have no business having him.
