Default stupid roommate = dog fight and cops called
well today was the final straw i had to go to work so i put all three dogs IN THEIR CRATES in my bedroom and locked my door. my roommate decided that since a dog was whining it would be okay to unlock my door and let all the dogs out about an hour before i came home.. well i came home to screaming this idiot had them all out and zia attacked violet who retaliated and then ruckus jumped in and this dude who knows where my break sticks are just tries to grab the top dog.. which was violet and the yelling and being grabbed made violet go even harder and so he freaked and just grabbed his head.. i ran in grabbed 2 break sticks broke violet off had him put her away and then broke ruckus and zia up and put them away. well this led to a few words which led to a lost temper which led to my now ex roommate picking himself up off the floor.. he called the cops and luckily the cop just told him pretty much it was fault i was protecting my animals and if he was going to arrest someone it would be him for unlocking my door with a small screwdriver and going in.. after cop left the dude tried to apologize but i made it clear for his safety i suggest he leave on his own (since i cant legally make him due to his bed being here and him receiving mail here dumb law) and he is currently putting stuff in trash bags and putting his stuff in his car.

I had a similar incident a few years back... People don't friggin LISTEN!

I'm glad it wasn't worse though... Sounds like all the dogs are okay? And they weren't seized by AC or anything. So that's good, at least.

In college I acquired my first pit bull after my roommates said they didn't want her anymore. Even though I was repeatedly told I needed to train the dog aggression out of her by letting her socialize with other dogs, my gut told me I needed to be careful with her around other dogs. She was great with most dogs, but when she didn't like a dog, she made it clear. The first thing I did in every house I lived in was put a deadbolt on my door with a key. I would definitely have gone ape shit if a roommate unlocked my door after I went through all that trouble to keep my dog safe. It's very difficult to have a pit bull with roommates that aren't breed savvy.

this dude just lacks common sense.. is like the 5th incident in the short time he has been here this one just put me over the edge because it was the second time in 2 days he put my dogs in danger.. i figured a locked door would say enough but it was one of the locks you can open with a coin if you want.. but yea they are all okay from what i saw and got from it was zia bit the side of violets neck/head then violet rolled her over and had a hold of her chest and ruckus a hold of her like groin area.. yet none of the dogs left marks no blood just a few wet spots of drool in their fur i had to clean up.. And AC never showed up but i asked and the cop said it should be fine since it shows i am not running a fight ring or anything no scars on the dogs separate crates and he said it adds to it that the guy unlocked my door and then opened their crates so it showed in order for the fight to happen the guy had to go through multiple things it wasn't just real simple.

Glad everyone is ok. And I am glad the roomie is leaving on his own instead of making you evict him. Looks like the cops in your area are decent and reasonable human beings. Please clone them and send them here

Yep. Please stay out of roommate situations with this breed. Do not acquire a Pit Bull if you are in a roommate situation.
Those situations are essentially chaos.*

I'm glad to read EX ROOMATE! What a knob! Lucky you got home before the police - that could have ended differently....

Glad to hear everything is ok. I definitely understand idiots and dogs. When my bf was living with his ex best friend and his family they would let Shelby run outside ALL day long when Justin would go to work. At that time she wasn't spayed! We finally bought Master locks and locked her crate yet they proceeded to pick the locks and let her run. I was livid! I never cussed someone out before that day.

Another chaotic situation that this breed seems to find itself in so often.

For newbies that might not yet have a Pit Bull -- please know that these kinds of unstable situations very often just don't work our FOR THE DOG! Get into them all you want, but try to keep animals out of them.

I would have been pissed.
The dogs are separated for a damn reason...
I don't see wtf people are thinking when they let them ALL out at the same time.

yea the dogs are okay but now after the fight zia and violet cant even be crated in the same room.. because they will try and get out.

and its the last time i try and help someone out. I don't need a roommate just when i bought this house him and his girlfriend were down on their luck so i agreed they could stay here for a bit. HUGE MISTAKE.

Glad it was not worse. As much as I hated moving back home after me and the ex broke up I could never had got a roommate with my two someone would have ended up hurt.

My old roommates each had a pit and we had never socialized them so we had a rotation schedule. I can't imagine what could have happened if someone in the house didn't respect that. I'm glad you handled the situation.

yea and actually i now think something might of been up with my roommate because now that he is gone all of the dogs seem alot calmer.. not that im going to risk them out together but their crates are in the same room and there is no more trying to fight through the crates or even barking no more.. I missed the quite! haha
