This makes me very sad, my heart goes out for the dogs owners
"My American Pit Bull Terrier 'Damien' went missing on October 4th between 4:00 PM and 4:20 PM, in the parking lot of Peebles in Carbondale. He was stolen out of my car in the middle of the day. He is almost eight years old and he has been apart of my life since he was eight weeks old, he is like my child!!! I miss him dearly, and so does his best friend, an eight year old little girl!!! I have been crying since he has gone missing. PLEASE if you have him, bring him back to us!! He is apart of our family and an extremely loved pet. $1,000 REWARD for his safe return!!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!!! PLEASE e-mail me if you know ANYTHING at all!!! Our family is lost and devastated with out him!! We have contacted the SPCA, police department, and all veterinary clinics within the area!!! PLEASE HELP US BRING OUR BOY HOME!!!! " |

Speaking as an English teacher, spelling, punctuation, and grammar is important so that the message you want to communicate is clear to those you want to say it to! Communicating effectively is the point of a public forum.
As for the missing pup, my heart goes out to the family. Cooper rides everywhere with me as I cart my kids here and there, but I avoid ever leaving him alone in the vehicle. I thought I was just paranoid about someone taking him, but now I am reminded it can happen. |

UPDATE
Damien was found early yesterday morning, after being stolen out of my car. I received an e-mail that some one had him in their "care" and right away i drove up to the location, he was tied out in a back yard with no food, water, or shelter. He had lost quite a bit of weight, since we last saw him and he had lacerations on his face and throat. He was taken to the veterinarian clinic immediately, besides the lacerations that required stitches, the veterinarian assumed the wounds were caused by barbed wire, and the weight loss he was in decent health. I am so glad to have my boy back, i missed him so much! As soon as i saw him i started crying like a baby! I want to thank every one for their kind words and suggestions, and ESPECIALLY the person who found my boy, you definitely deserved every bit of the reward that was given, i wish i could have given you more! THANK YOU EVERY ONE SOOOO MUCH!!! |

Very sad story with a happy ending - why people feel the need to steal dogs from others and then abuse them is beyond my understanding. Hope everything goes well in the future!
I will admit to leaving my dog in the car sometimes, as she goes everywhere with me, but never for more than 5 minutes while I run into a store to get a prescription, a loaf of bread, etc, but never in the heat, and always with windows cracked and doors LOCKED. |

Yay for a happy ending.
And..um...yeah - people need to try harder to communicate in an understandable way because forum spelling by many is notoriously BAD AND HARD TO UNDERSTAND!!!!! I'm always curious why someone feels the need to, in public, correct someone else's spelling or grammar on a public forum for the world to see. |

Hmmmmm, I believe adjecya is the OP, and realized the spelling error once the post could no longer be edited, so corrected themself in a post after. What is so wrong with that, correcting yourself? Lol. And FWIW, I correct spelling all of the time for people, I am very anal about spelling and punctuation, just one of my pet peeves. If it makes me an asshole, so be it
