there is only one APBT,Everything else-bullies,am bullies,pocket pits,blue nose,red nose,purple nose,gatormouf LOL are not APBTs.Have never been,will never be and I would love for them to officially declare them a different dog altogether.If it ain't gamebred IMHO it's not APBT Some people may not agree,but that's how I feel.

Awesome, the ABKC method of classification is catching on... if the dogs don't fit a standard, make up a new standard as you go along. It works great!

The clue is in the name. American pit BULL TERRIER. They will either be more bully or more terrier. Anyone who tries to claim being gamebred is a type is full of crap. I could show them countless pictures of ch and gr ch dogs which look little different from a UKC apbt when on the chain. Were they not game bred? They aren't born into titles!

To be honest, sometimes I really see pitbulls have 3 types.. It's more like evolution of the breed for me. The gamebred, showline (UKC), & AmBully. I'm saying that on my perspective where in I got experience judging an AmBully show, and used to show dogs in UKC standard APBT events and still active in the []. So I have handle such dogs and followed their purpose, I mean like I show dogs that are bred to be as show dogs and let the dogs perform that are bred for performance.

People here might won't accept it and most won't agree with me, but for me.. it's just classification. Maybe just personal preference.. but I have my own take on that. Anyways those AmStaffs and AmBullies.. mixed or not still came from the APBT which is always quoted as an evolution of the breed.

but if youre going to say that, you might as well call any bull breed a pit bull, they all stemmed off eachother in one way or another..

What is mean is like for American Bulldogs. From the breeding program of these two men (John D Johnson and Allen Scott) emerged two distinctive strains commonly called, the Johnson type or the Bully/Classic class and the Scott Type or the standard/performance type. They are well recognized as a type. Why can't pitbull have types?

Most people here just have their so called pitbull at home when they are not really created to just be a petbull, then when there was a pitbull attack they will get furious because they didn't expect their petbull to turn on them. If you have a dog that comes from a showline.. use their purpose.. show them! If you have a performance dog then let them perform. Alot of people think they know shit about this breed by just reading books/articles/hearsays/etc when clearly.. you don't know anything about what the real APBT is all about.

My statement about the 3 types is just my opinion only. As I see it, I can classify it as three types as a product of evolution. I just want to state my opinion on the subject mater. If you don't agree with it, then don't. I don't expect anyone here would anyways. I respect people's opinion that's why I believe I can demand respect on my opinion aswell.
