Default mr. pancakes killed something
For the first time, i have no idea what it was, never saw him look so happy. :/ haha. His prey drive has been out of control, jumped out of a moving car to try to get a squirrel. nut case.

he got in trouble and has seen squirrels since, and knows not to. Granted it was on our gravel road going about 7 mph. still though, yeah scary.

Yeah...I saw a yellow lab jump out of the bed of his owners truck at about 2 mph in my driveway...end result was a faceplant and a dog bleeding profusely from his mouth...

yeah, well, luckily he is more agile. lol. This incident and the killing incident were on different occasions for the record. But like i said he knows not too now. Should i be expecting an increase in prey drive now that he has gotten something?

Not really an "increase" but maybe a bit more determination since he was rewarded for his last attempt (actually catching the prey).

Lance caught a mouse at my house and killed it. Now, hes on point and will run like a bat out of hell if he even thinks he sees one in the house. His prey drive definitely went up after catching one.

Bubba's didn't increase after he got our rabbit. Then again, we hadn't had him that long so I didn't have a bunch of history to go off of.

He sure looks like he is proud of himself! hehehee.....

The worst West has done was catch a few crickets that got loose from our gecko's cricket cage. He didn't stop til he got them all!

Just be careful with him in the car. Woot killed a mouse, and has tried to eat cats, squirrels anything that is small. She used to not be like this even had her around a baby squirrel but here recently its like anything that is not a dog is yummy lunch. She tried to eat the rabbit I used to have, she went NUTS over it.

But ya car keep him leashed PLEASE there was a recent incident with a pitbull here in the smokies killin a dear and it was in a national park. we dont need any bad press

im assuming you live in the country, otherwise i sure as hell wouldnt be taking photos of my dog covered in blood and posting it like its something cool. i hunt with my dogs, but they are always under my control , so at least im not scratching my head wondering what was killed. this must be your first because your post screams lack of maturity.

I agree with TD... now that he knows what it's like to finally "catch" something, he may be more interested in chasing them.

My sister has a female cat named Steven.
We call our cats "he's"... one is a female, but we've always called him a he... I think Pokie would actually get a complex if we tried to call him a her.. For some reason, I've always referred to my cats as he's, even when one was pregnant. For the life of me, I couldn't get used to calling Slinky a she.... and even after his kittens were born, I still called him a he.
