Default Why so Pink!?
Mars is so pink. Around his eyes and his nose, Its very very pink, he's belly is pink.

I've never seen a dog so pink. I've seen red.

Is it a white dog kind of thing or could it be a sign of anything?

I know my dog Caesar, his white parts turn pink due to his allergies.

Have you been feeding anything new, changed anything? Also with white dogs you will have to watch out for sun burn.

he's always been really pink. I have changed his food to some cheap stuff.
I know the cold adds to the pink as well. I can't say he's much pinker than he's ever been though.

and I'm already loling at trying to put sunscreen on mars.

All of the white on my Sophie always turns pink. When it is cold out, when it is extra hot out, when she has been under her blankets to long, when I give her a bath. She is always pink but it does come out more when the ubove happens and goes away. i don't worry about it.

It's just their skin and the lack of pigment. As most white dogs age and they are exposed to the sun, their skin will darken and you'll be able to notice spots of pigmentation (no, you're dog isnt' turning into a dalmation )

However, make sure you are using sunscreen on your dog when he's out in the sun!

Icesis is the same way, her skin is very pale in the winter and if she gets worked up she blushes all over!

Mollie gets pink when she gets hot, or if she gets real cold outside, her ears turn pink. Piglets!

Loki is super pink too. Especially if he's hot. His little nose and ears turn bubblegum pink! I love it and think it just adds to his cuteness.

nice. and the piglet comment is funny. I used to get asked all the time where i got my pig. I'd have to pick him up and show them he's a dog...

I'd just like to say that I think ANY thread about Mars should be accompanied by pictures.

Having said that...

Ru gets pink too! Spanky gets REALLY pink on her ears when she gets hot.. she's like a thermometer LOL

I probably ask a lot of silly questions on here. I generally try to search google first for some info. But sometimes the info i find is too much. or very vague.
I just always have some question about my pup.
