Default Flickr Groups for Scribbler 'Togs to consider
I'm not sure that this is a brilliant idea, but ... when I see photos taken by Scribblers, photos like ... well, you know how awful it is to mention names and miss someone ... I often think, why don't they post them to more and relevant groups (I know they are already flickr members and some are not nor intend to be, but that's not a problem of course).

So how about we try listing some of the flickr groups we especially recommend, between us, and add to the collection of images that represent Australian Wildlife, between us?
It seems a shame NOT to build on these very public and well known databases

If I start by making some categories that I know ... maybe subsequent people will copy the post and add to them, thereby making the listing more complete quickly ... then we could delete our own earlier posts once they are incorporated ito newer ones (does that make sense?)

So, for starters ... some (mostly but not all) Australian-based sites (as I don't see that it has to stick with them, this being the wunnerful worldwide web.

For those who aren't aware of it, flickr is free, though you can pay to increase yor storage.
Its main benefit is the community and conversations that it builds up and on, imo, not unlike the forum.
Photos can be posted for the whole world to see or for restricted viewers.

Good thinking 99.

I haven't been posting stuff on Flickr much of late as I'm at my limit for free hosting. Another reason I need to be able to shop on-line

To my Flickr contacts from here, haven't forgotten you all and will get around to logging in to check your work (but don't pin me down as to exactly when that'll be).

In the past I've been known to set up several flickr accounts so as to be able to post more than 200 pictures.. I've also deleted a lot to be able to post more.

I've got two freebies as you prolly know (woolly for here and elsewhere +another for landcare stuff). Idea of opening another crossed my mind, but hey, they don't charge the earth for hosting and it seems wrong to expect my entire online life to cost me nuffin'
