The week that AOL launched. It was on a Packard Bell 386 my folks bought it at Costco. It cost $2200. I remember when Hotmail was not owned my Microsoft ![]() Netscape was the most awesome browser back then Napster - oooh the days of Napster! First song I ever d'd in Napster was Tai Mai Shu (google it LOL) Leaving music to download for hours at a time and finally coming back to it having stopped because my mom used our phone :| |

I found this website called waybackmachine, which allows you to look at old websites as far back as the mid- 1990s.
It jogged my memory of when I started to use the internet back in 2000 or so. I mainly used it to go on Nick.com and play games ![]() So how about you? |

Well, I originally connected to BBS systems at my friend's house... and then later on the internet. That was back in 1994 I believe, and then my family got dial-up in 1995. We were also one of the few people that didn't end up using AOL when we first got online as well. I also used to play Command & Conquer, and later on, C&C: Red Alert over direct dial-up connections with my friends around that same time-frame.
